The Myth that Nelson Sucks

Simply put, it’s wrong.

#Chiefs CB Steven Nelson (92.7 PFF Overall Grade) was
@PFF
's top-graded player last night. He was targeted six times and only allowed two receptions for 33 yards.

Over the past six games, Nelson has only allowed 264 yards while being targeted 42 times.

He’s having a pretty good season, and at least half of CP thinks he sucks. It’s a shame.

Meh, I think he's okay as a 3rd or 4th CB. But no way should he be a starter.

I’d be okay with paying him chump change. None of this Daniel Sorensen contract kind of bullshit or worse, though

This team has 2 good NBs and an ascending #2 CB.

They NEED a TRUE #1 CB to make the unit a team strength. Push everyone else down a notch to be more useful.

If Nelson wants paid as a #3 CB, he’s worth that kind of $$$

He's not bad playing on the inside vs slot WR, but man does he ever have Bill Bartee disease on the deep stuff, dude never turns his head.

The guy also drops the most "layup" INT's that I've ever seen.

I hope the Chiefs move on from the guy, no reason to pay him more than what his FA value is going to command.
