Hmm. Good for Kareem. I think that we're going to be facing the Browns a lot in the coming years. Dorsey is going to make that team a perennial playoff team, probably as soon as the 2019 season. I wouldn't be surprised if they win the division several times in the coming years, and likely are no worst than 2nd most years, just like the Chiefs. So that will result in lots of regular season matchups and a few postseason matchups too. I will glad that he didn't go to an AFC West team, but I would have preferred seeing him in the NFC. Oh well, if we fix the defense and keep the offense rolling, it's not going to matter who the Chiefs face

my only hope is Kareem constantly interjects with Baker with stuff like "well, back in KC, Pat threw it this way". "Pat used to do this". "Pat used to do that".

The Chiefs did the NFL a huge favor. Sadly, nothing ever good comes from playing the good guy.

It’s better than keeping him and the media dragging Hill’s name through the mud too, which is 100% what would’ve happened.

I don’t give a shit what the media thinks either.

But the truth is it would’ve been a PR nightmare that would still be going on. It would’ve been a huge distraction and with Pat right now that’s the last thing we want.

Some of you are seriously underestimating how ugly this could’ve gotten. Why do you underestimate the power of outrage?

Can't imagine there being value in controlling his rights.

I mean, the Chiefs can't imagine that.

Gotta disagree here man. Hunt got stoned at the line A LOT. He’s not Jamaal Charles where he just needs a tiny bit of daylight to squirt through. Hunt isn’t that. What Hunt was excellent at was not going down in the open field where he had room to wiggle. Not at getting through closed gaps.

The problem with the AFCCG IMO was Reid’s absolute failure in gameplanning the OL assignments to deal with the stunts. That wouldn’t have changed with Hunt running into brick walls. The only difference he could have made in that ghastly first half would be if he caught something in the open field or got loose on a stretch play and to my recolllection we didn’t get much there.

Hunt is better than Williams no doubt but the loss in the AFCCG was on Reid, not our stable of RBs.

Nah, just let him go. Good RB's are a burden. It's almost always a mistake to pay them, and when they're good and your fan base has an affinity for him, you almost always have to pay him.

We've seen his production replaced. We haven't seen the big plays in the same fashion as Hunt, but they're there. They're just different.

Let some other team get forced into paying him. And i say this as a Kareem Hunt fan, and grudgingly wish him the best in Brown Town.

This.

I was always under the assumption that even before Hunt’s video came out and he was released that once his payday came, he’d be gone. Just not worth the money for a position that has little drop off from your great to average player. They also get injured quite often.

I’d rather spend the money on a better OL where the drop off from good to average players is so steep. Or any position for that matter. Teams that depend too much on running backs, especially nowadays, are on a path to nowhere.
