****2018-2019 Official NBA Regular season thread****

Didn't see anybody starting this thread so I guess I will.

Anti climatic season starts tonight and my prediction is GS vs Boston in the NBA Finals.

First 2 Games tonight on TNT with Philly vs Boston and OKC vs GS. Westbrook is out tonight so that game will be a blowout most likely.

Standing up to LeBron? Not following this.

The Lakers have three of LeBron's best friends on payroll and Rich Paul was the Messenger of Death for Walton right after the season started. They aren't doing anything.

Let's hope I'm forced into such a dilemma. The Warriors are still probably going to win this series, though, so I'm safe.

You are the only dumbass who thinks David Blatt is worth a shit as an NBA coach.

Yeah, they're basically doing everything that both Miami and Cleveland did for him (and more).

I have been thinking that the Raptors match up about as well defensively as any team could against the Warriors (whether with Durant or without him). They've got a bunch of long, rangy, athletic defenders (and could be adding one more if Anunoby returns) and just about everybody on the team's roster other than Gasol and Van Vleet can switch on to anyone on the Warriors roster. They've also been very good at limiting transition in the past few rounds (it was a necessity against Milwaukee), which is also the Warriors' greatest strength.

The significant talent differential as well as their significant experience in the Finals should matter more, but I'm hoping the Raptors could make things somewhat interesting through their defensive schemes, discipline on both ends, and Kawhi.

Are you really going to pretend the defense was better under lue than it was under Blatt? Including Lebron? Someone asked when Lebron stopped playing defense. Every single cav stopped playing defense soon after Blatt left. Whether you like Blatt or not as a coach, you cannot doubt that his team gave effort. Its not about Blatt... My argument is that Lebron would have been much better in Cleveland both times if he didn't dominate personnel decisions and bully his coaches.

I am interested in seeing who matches up with who. If I was Toronto I would put Kawhi on Klay but he will have to sacrifice some of his offense if he does that because he will be running all over the court. Might be best to stick him on Draymond.

I think he's going to play predominantly on Draymond. It would allow him to kind of rove around a bit and it would allow him to switch onto Steph on the Steph/Dray PnR (which you kind of have to do if you want any chance of limiting that PnR).

I think coaching and experience are going to be the biggest factors in this series...

I think raptors are doing what I would have done to the warriors. Let Steph go off and try to contain everybody else. Don't know if it will work or if it's sustainable but I think it's a good strategy. Don't over commit to curry cause that turns him from just a scorer to an all around playmaker. Avoid that and you have a chance
