So question, while the Royals pitching depth is quickly entering a top 5 in the minors place. Is anyone else concerned they just don't have the bats to go with it at all? Also pitchy prospects are so much more volatile.

Plus it's always possible you can trade pitching for bats. |

SEC dominates again. It’s almost embarrassing for the other conferences.

There are 1,050 players who normally would have been drafted who will not get drafted this year. So yeah, picking up players out of that group is a big deal.

If it's going on during NBA season, I really won't pay attention to it, either.

After watching Lacy and reading some breakdowns of him, he's my new No. 1 pitching prospect in the system (slots just behind Bobby Witt Jr.).
He gets the nod for me because he has two plus pitches and two above average pitches. His FB-slider combo is superior to Daniel Lynch's, AND he has a better change and breaker. He's a better prospect than Manaea. Can't believe 3 teams passed on a lefty with a perfect pitcher's build, great work ethic, understanding of mechanics and analytics, a top 1 percent fastball (compared to MLB in velocity and movement), a plus breaker, and a second, above-average breaker and above-average change. That's a pretty exciting add. I also am surprised they grabbed Loftin considering the guys that were available. He isn't an incredibly toolsy player, though he is a safe, high-floor, likely major leaguer. That hasn't been the type of hitter they typically target, especially early.

Still think Arkansas product Casey Martin is someone KC would be interested in with its first pick today. Not sure he sticks at SS as a pro, but he's a toolsy bat with pop and a really high ceiling.
They've also been connected to HS lefty Dax Fulton, who is in the region (Oklahoma HS). He had Tommy John last fall.
