Which State has the Worst Drivers?

Originally, I was going to have this poll ask which state had the worse drivers - Kansas or Iowa? But I realized that dipshittery on the roadways is by no means confined to those two states.

So, what say you, Planet? Which state that you have been in most makes you want to full on road rage? Poll on the way.....

I consider Kansas City "sneaky dangerous". I've found that people in this city are TOO considerate and cause dangerous situations by being overly polite. I've seen people STOP in the middle of the street to allow a left-turning car to make the turn while the opposing traffic is light. It's incredible. Just obey the traffic laws and the situations work themselves out. You don't have to aggressively be the most polite person on the road.

The most aggressive drivers I've seen are either in Nashville or Detroit, with the Philly/B'more metroplex close behind. Nashville speed limits are really just suggestions, while Detroit seems to have outlawed lane markings, and Philadelphians (Schuylkill expressway..) just make their own lanes if traffic is heavy enough.

But nothing- NOTHING- equals Florida, which is just a mind**** experience. I think it has a lot to do with political lobbying making license renewal the easiest ****ing thing ever. Too many people in Florida have no business driving, but are continually allowed to do so, in order that politicians can be reelected.

Yeah, I've driven all over the U.S. and have encountered my share of horrible drivers but it never ceases to amaze me how rude and awful the average Florida driver is. I just recently spent three weeks in Orlando, Miami and Key West and found crappy drivers wherever I went.

I took my wife to an outlet mall in Orlando with a large parking garage but ended up parking just outside of it. When we left our car we could see and hear approx 15 cars all blaring their horns trying to get out of the garage even though the poor bastard in front couldn't pull out due to all the heavy traffic on the main road. When we left the mall a couple hours later and pulled out to the main intersection the guy behind me started honking his horn immediately. Apparently the 1.5 seconds I used to stop at the sign and look for oncoming traffic was too long.

Iowa - Iowanians (the people, not the poster, necessarily) drive along like they're coming back from brunch at the church, always. When you are finally able to get around one, they smile and give you that oblivious "Hi neighbor!" look, not realizing that they have backed traffic up for a mile or two singing traveling songs with the kids.

Being from Iowa I can say this part is true. Cars will drive slow in the left hand lane for miles.

Missouri though gets the cake. They drive like they're the only car on the highway. Dangerous drivers trump oblivious ones.

This is universal and doesn't stop at state boundaries. It's my biggest pet peeve.

not reading the thread but Texas. The ****ers here can't drive if it rains, if it's sunny, or put down their god damn iphones.

Merging is a foreign language to the idiots down here too. On the freeways people either drive way too ****ing fast or way to ****ing slow (most of them in the left lane too).

New Jersey/New York and Massachusetts are the ****ing worst!
