Idiotic hypocrites whining about coach Reid

What's really funny to me is that most people bitching about "taking the ball out of our best playmakers hands", are the ones that bitch about clock management and scoring too quickly/not running the ball to run clock. If we throw the ball there and Hill/Kelce take it to the house and then Lamar scores on our shit defense, then you idiots are bitching that we threw it too much, scored too quickly and didn't run it enough.

We had 1:24 left, all 3 timeouts, and had already made it to the Ravens 32 yd line. We were running our offense and ran it on 2nd and 3 burn some clock and try to get the 1st down. He wasn't trying to settle for a 50ish yard FG and I guarantee he doesn't run that ball even if it's 3rd and 1.

Just look at the how much time was on the game clock when we got the ball on the last drive 3:14. We were clearly running down as much clock as possible and ran only 2 plays in 1:14 of game time to the 2 minute warning. We pass it after the 2 minute warning and for the first time that drive we had a 2nd down. We run it, so that we can for sure get the clock down to 45ish seconds before the next play, but an incomplete pass stops the clock with around 1:10. If we don't convert 2nd and 3 the clock still runs and then we have 3rd down to pass it. An incomplete pass on 3rd down stops the clock, but since we ran it the play before there is only around 30 seconds left and then we kick the FG and Baltimore gets the ball with 1 time out and 15 - 20 sec left or no timeouts and 45 - 50 seconds. An incompletion on 2nd and then 3rd gives Baltimore over a minute with a timeout left. Andy knew the D wasn't stopping them and didn't want them to get the ball with any time if we don't convert there. He just didn't expect Clyde to have his first fumble there.

An incomplete pass is the least of our worries. In 15 we trust.

A complete pass in bounds is highly likely, as the Ravens have had no answer for the spread offense all night.

A run for minimal yards or a loss like we saw the previous 17 rushes, is a wasted down where we arent letting 15 do what he does.

The only thing that screws this up? Ignoring your best player.

What do you do? You give Patrick Mahomes the ball, dumbass.

Stastically speaking, that's the smart thing to do in that situation.

This time it didn't work out, because Andy handed it to Clyde and he shit the bed. If Andy trusted Pat as much as Harbaugh trusted Jackson, we win.
Fixed.

There are multiple things driving this nonsense.
It’s also okay to critically analyze the coaching decisions by your team while still fully supporting your head coach, acknowledging he’s a hall of famer, but just wanting a place to talk about those decisions with like minded fans after the game.

Oh, absolutely. The greatest coaches ever, the greatest individuals in any situation, are still imperfect human beings who have flaws. Pointing them out and discussing them is perfectly acceptable. We are seeing agendas beyond that playing out however. We have people are going beyond the, “He’s great and brought us to the promised land but, these little things annoy me” to people acting like he is so terrible that he needs to be replaced. Those are the people I’m referencing, and others have been actively fighting against.

Yep. Agreed with that, too. Even Bill Belichick has off games. I think the worst game of Bill’s career came in the 2015 AFCCG against Denver. The dude seemed to coach in a panic the entire match in what was an extremely winnable game against Fossil Manning. Unfortunately we got hall of fame Bill in our match 4 years later (and even then, it was worth critiquing his choice to do a play action at the goal line that resulted in an INT when we couldn’t stop their run all night).

Since the 2019 playoffs, Andy has started coaching more aggressively with Patrick and I have been his biggest champion behind that switch. For someone who was often criticized around here for being too cautious on 4th down before Mahomes, his daring decisions to go for it on 4th down in both the AFCCG and Super Bowl were game defining choices that I will always support. I was in the stadium for the AFCCG and was scared ****less when Andy chose to go for it on 4th down when we were down 10-0 early on — but I knew it was the right move. Going for it and getting a TD on that drive set the tone for our offense early. In a reality where Butker misses an XP length field goal there and we go down 17-0 early we are in an entirely different game.

Andy stayed that aggressive last year on 4th down and at the end of games, often trusting Patrick’s arm to seal games by getting first downs at the end of them rather than salting away clock and punting back to the other team. I am just all about it and am so happy to FINALLY have a head coach and QB who is gung ho and talented enough to go for it in those situations.

So, in the rare times where Andy’s cautiousness wins out in the Mahomes era, I’ll likely come here to talk about it rather than getting blasted to oblivion for sharing those thoughts on Facebook or Reddit. I love Andy. Dude is the best and has made me eat a lot of **** after the Alex years, but sometimes critiques like that on those platforms makes folks think I want to fire him and hire Adam Gase or something.

You either have bad luck and only see me critiquing Andys decisions, or you dont read all the threads.

I do find it quite entertaining though, that I'm lately being painted as an anti Chiefs troll. Laughing makes the long days easier, so its helping.

Maybe before you paint me with the troll brush, you could objectively look at what im saying from my side. Hell, pretend im insane and just play devils advocate.

Game on the line. You have the best player on the planet, shredding Baltimore with the spread offense.

You could put the game in his hands, or you can give the ball to tbe worst running back in the league. Not just visually worst, statistically as well.

If you cant see how someone pointing out that the ball was in the wrong persons hands in the first place is a valid point, the theres no need to continue discussion.

Other things went wrong. Yes. But all that was over. What you want is to be at the end of a game, with a chance to win.

Despite everything else, the Chiefs were in position to win the game at the end. Andy simply chose to take the ball out of Patrick's hands.

I thought we were paying Patrick half billion dollars for these very situations. Not to turn and hand off for 2 yard losses.

Maybe i was wrong. Seems expensive though.
You keep saying that Andy chose to take the ball out of Patrick's hands, but that isn't even remotely true. We had 3 straight passes and the 3rd one didn't get a 1st down. It was 2nd down, we had 3 timeouts, we were down 1 point, and we were well within FG range. Running it in that situation isn't even remotely close to taking it out of his hands and it was absolutely the right call strategically.

Don't act like you wouldn't be bitching about scoring too quickly if we throw it for a TD and Baltimore drives down because they had plenty of time and a timeout to do it and we lose that way. You'd post your stupid ass thread and talk about his time management and how he never burns clock by running it at the end of a game. You're just a contrarian douche bag idiot that keeps doubling down on being a dumbass. No one is triggered we are just pointing out how you are a douchebag and have no clue what you are talking about.

Hey, how much you think Jonesey's read option defense is worth? Really quick while were at it.

Football production worth only please, As a comedy feature, its ****ing priceless.

Just to recap here, your boy Chris Jones, who you wanted to be the leagues top paid defender, is part of the highest paid d line in football and is off to the worst defensive start in nfl history.

Maybe reflect on your own bullshit before you start talking about who is becoming the worst poster here.

If you cant take someone throwing a few jabs at Andy, who has the easiest ****ing decisions in the world to make on offense now and somehow still manages to dick it up, maybe go fellate a Mossberg until it finishes.
You were over the top when you thought Jones wasn't going to resign with KC and now you're happy that Jones hasn't done the best in 2 games as a DE, except for making a huge sack in week 1. You're just a really bad troll and actively rooting for failure, so you can feel validated.

You are a ****ing idiot, end of story. I, among MANY others were very willing to trade Jones if he wanted to be top dog in money. The guy had earned top dog money, and i fully expected him to pursue it, as most NFL players MUST do, given their short careers. You pounded your chest that we absolutely must give it to him if he demanded, and i disagreed.

PERIOD.

He worked with the team, got himself a nice payday, and proceeded to do **** all when it mattered most since then, but at the time i was quite happy that he worked with KC to stay.

Now hes off to a shit start because his idiot coaches think he can play DE. He cant. Your spank bank boy is a deer in the headlights out there. The guy was suspect against the run inside, and completely worthless against it outside.

If you think my pointing out that he and the rest of that highest paid in the league d line are sucking frothy ****ing ass for two games is rooting for failure, well like i said, youre a ****ing idiot.

I dont root for failure, it ****ing pisses me off. The Ravens are destroyed by injury, with a halfback playing qb. We should have destroyed that team, but in typical Chiefs fashion, we want to bullshit around and play down to the competition.

Then with the game on the line we run a give up play instead of unleashing Mahomes on them. You know, like Harbaugh did to us with Jackson because he trusts his RBQB more than Andy trusts Mahomes apparently.

From the previous 17 rushes we saw, the outcome was highly likely that it would be no gain, minimal gain, or a loss.

When you see the ****ing defensive alignment that handoff was looking at, the fact that we went through with it is doubly offensive.

If you want Clyde to have the ball game on the line hey good for you.

I say we give it to the dude with the half billion dollar deal, and the sac to deliver the ****ing goods.

Sorry to break your"Wallcrawler just hates the Chiefs" narrative there Dilbundle of sticks9 or whatever the **** your name is. But heres my reaction to andy losing the biggest game of them all, while sticking with what got him there.

The Kansas City Chiefs receivers had the opportunity to prove Mahomes is the most legendary quarterback to ever play the game. Pressured more than any qb in a superbowl, on a toe needing surgery, Mahomes made enough plays in this offensive gameplay to win this game.

If the Chiefs receivers simply catch tbe football, hell even LOOK for the football, we win this game by 10-13 points.

I hold Andy fully responsible for the defensive timeouts that led to spot fouls and a score. But thats always been Andy. Its not new, it was never fixed, tbe offense just bailed him out by executing.

The pass catchers, and i use that term VERY ****ING LOOSELY HERE, are the reason the Chiefs lost this game.

Kelce doesnt drop 3rd down in his hands, our ass punter doesnt have a chance to shank it for 27 yards.

Andy stuck to his guns, stuck to what got him there, putting the ball in the hands of Mahomes.

Pat made the throws under IMPOSSIBLE conditions. They simply were not caught.

If we ran the ball 40 times and lost, youd be screaming HOW COULD YOU NOT GIVE MAHOMES THE BALL?

HES THE BEST PLAYER ALIVE AND YOU CALL 40 RUSHES?!?? ZOMG ZOMG FIREANDYREID.COM!!!!!!!11111ONE

You're absolutely wrong about Chris Jones and no matter how many times you say it running the ball 2nd and 3 is not taking the ball out of Mahomes hands. What do you mean we didn't unleash Mahomes. We threw it 3 straight times for 43 yds and decided that since we moved down the field so quickly that we could try to run it and at the very least we'd run the clock down and then Mahomes would convert the 3rd down. Mahomes even thought it was the play because he could have audibled out of the run and threw it.

If you look at all the variables of the situation and still think that running it was a bad play, then you are just beyond reason and/or lack any critical thinking skills. Or you know you're wrong and can't admit it because your a pussy. You're either brain dead, a pussy, or a brain dead pussy.

Also you must not have actually watched the game, because Clyde had several decent runs before the fumble.

9, 1, 7, -1, 3, 9, 4, 7, 6, 1, 4, -2

Those were his 12 rushes before he fumbled like a Wallcrawler. 8 out of his 12 (75%) previous runs would have gotten a 1st down. So idk why you said"from the previous 17 rushes we saw, the outcome was highly likely that it would be no gain, minimal gain, or a loss.", because you're wrong. You act as if they completely stuffed the run game and they clearly didn't.

Dumb ****

Lmao. A guy dying on the Chris Jones hill calling someone braindead.

I wasnt wrong. He didnt get highest paid in the league, and we would not have kept him If he demanded it.

I guess I can hunt down my posts and prove what i ****ing said, but you're too ****ing stupid to hear anything but your own head rattling.

As for your running the ball doesnt take it out of Mahomes hands....WHO ****ING FUMBLED THE BALL THEN?

You pass again, move the ball, clock runs. Score a touchdown, Ravens get ball back with a minute at BEST. Its likely less.

They couldnt run the offense to get down and score a TD to beat us. Jackson would have been forced to throw, which he sucks at, and we win the game because they dont have the time to cram it down our throat on the ground.

But yes, lets pussy out and play for a ****ing FG when Patrick is shredding them. Worked out awesome.

Stuffed that last play though, didnt they.

Also, love how you say Clyde has several decent runs and then proceed to list a couple one yarders, two losses, a three and a couple fours in that group.

If those are what you consider decent, id strongly consider not calling anyone else a dumb****.
