My disastrous day yesterday!

Start the day...pumped up!

I'm in the championship game of my $$$$ fantasy league...two 12 team leagues with the champion of each league squaring off for the big $$$ prize...

Of course, I got there riding Colts players and had to bench all four guys today (Manning, Wayne, Harrison and Clark)...

Anyways, I start out and am heading to BW3, only I am in Champaign, IL and the University of Illinois is playing at 1 PM (they are located in Champaign) and the BW3 I go to is putting the audio and all of the big screens on the meaningless Illini game against Eastern Central Missouri Appalachian State Tech or something.

So they tell me I'd have better luck at the other BW3 (about a 20 minute drive) and it's 11:30 so I head over there...it's packed, but at least they are putting audio on the Bears game and only one big screen on the Illini game...I sit down with my friends and brother-in-law...ask for a LITTLE TV to be Chiefs/Bengals...the manager comes over and tells me they had to make a decision with 11 early games and they wouldn't be showing the Chiefs game...

So I ask him if they decided to play Colts/Titans and Browns/Steelers...he says yes and I tell him THEY AREN'T PLAYING THEIR FRIGGIN' STARTERS FOR GOD'S SAKE...it's a friggin' sports bar with direcTV...why can't I get a little TV for the Chiefs game? Are Chiefs/Bengals fans really hurting their business so much...so my friends/brother-in-law see me getting pissed off (and I worked in the restaurant industry so I'm not going to make a scene but...whatever) so we all had a drink and a few beers already purchased and we decide to leave so we all throw $5 on the table and the manager says "don't worry about it" but we leave it there anyways...he was such a cock about ONE TV ON THE CHIEFS GAME...it was friggin' playing NTN anyways...but regardless I should have stayed because the product the Chiefs put on display made me even more miserable when we hit Fat City bar to watch the game (amazingly this sub par, locals only bar has two TV's focused on the Chiefs when mega-corporation BW3 can't even give me one shitty TV...but whatever.

Too make things worse I chose Tampa's D over Indy's because...WHOA, they are getting the Raiders @ home with the playoffs on the line.

I'm in a really weird scoring league...so I take a 9 point lead for $2500 into the Denver/San Diego game and he has Eddie Royal/Darren Sproles and I'm done...

In this league, with all points coming after 75 yards gained or TD's...against these two players it's 50/50...one has to get a TD and their yards or two TD's or a really long TD...

So...Sproles decided to blow up and I finish 2nd. $1250 for 2nd so it's still alright but not quite the $2500 for 1st. If I play the Colts D over Tampa I win by a point...but that's dumb to second guess because who's choosing Indy over Tampa when Tampa is fighting for the playoffs and are playing the Raiders?

Oh well.

I would pay those winnings to be sure I never had to spend that much time at a BWW.

The one I usually go to is awesome...they don't use 'wing drawers' and we get there early and sit at the best table facing the three mega screens and then we have four "20 TV's above us to the right in the perfect place so we can keep our eye on our fantasy players.

Plus, they always go out of their way to hook me up with a Chiefs game because I'm there every week.

The other one was ridiculous. Saying all of the TV's were already accounted for is unbelievable...just because the Chiefs/Bengals are bad doesn't mean my business doesn't mean shit...what's the difference between two shitty teams and two good teams resting all of their starters...what's the difference between Byron Leftwich, Tyler Thigpen and Jim Sorgi?

One ****ing person was playing NTN trivia and there were three TV's focused on that game...I asked for one to be changed and the manager was an arrogant cockhead for NO reason...pisses me off.

Fortunately we ended up at a place where we all got bar seats and the TV directly in front of me was the Chiefs in HD...well, unfortunately I guess because the Chiefs decided not to have any type of a gameplan and etc. etc. etc...I'm just glad it's over.

Well, if it's any consolation. At week 1 of the season a co-worker bet me $100 that the Chiefs would NOT win 3 games.

some BW3 or other wing places make a ton of wings at once, before anyone orders them, and stocks them in a 'wing drawer' until they run out and repeat the process...meaning you'll get hour old wings sometimes and they aren't very good.

bww sucks but somehow I always end up there, although my draft experience on draft day was nice. I sat there and drank 1 pop for 3 hours and the manager and everyone was cool talking to me and stuff
