Matt Miller: Chiefs are expected to take a QB in the first 2 rounds

Kansas City Chiefs: QB or bust? Not quite, but a source with the Chiefs scouting department does expect they'll add a passer in the first two rounds. I've also been told by another source that inside linebacker is high on the team's wish list.

Other QB related stuff in the spoiler...

Spoiler!

i am off the webb consolation prize wagon, would prefer to just wait til the 3rd and take kizer or dobbs as developmental #3 if we miss on mahomes and watson

if i'm in the room i urge calm and patience thru the top 20. if both mahomes and watson go early, so be it. they aren't worth moving up TOO much to get em.

now, if they are sitting there in the early 20s, start calling offering a 4th+6th or 3rd and see if somebody bites. imo we gotta get ahead of oakland @24 to get ahead of houston @25, cause we sure as hell are not giving any picks to oakland or denver (#20). so that means det@21, mia@22 or nyg@23.

if it doesn't work we have to see what houston does. i have a gut feeling houston may like kizer, so possible we can just wait it out and see if they dont take our guy(s).

then if one is still there, have to consider all the 2nd round QB starved teams jumping us to seattle #26. might have to bit the bullet at that point and sacrifice a 6th or 5th to buy out seattle from trading further down for higher picks.

or, all of this is just a pipe dream and we do nothing and wait for the leftovers in the 2nd round, miss there too, and then grab a noodle-arm in the 5th again.

FWIW Just heard on 810 that the Chiefs are looking at Arizona and what they do. If Watson or Mahomes gets past them they are rumored to have a plan to move up and get them around the late teens to early twenties.

Not slamming you Run....

But like 810 has a ****ing clue.
This is merely connecting the dots and prognosticating. The majority have speculated about KC interest in the qb position based on interviews, visits and scouting.

He regressed in 2016 pretty dramatically when he chose to stop using his legs. I think he's going to tank even harder. I predict he'll go on a stretch of about a month without throwing a single TD. But the Chiefs will be winning, so he'll say, "Just doing what it takes to win."

I kind of hope 2016 is the Alexiest of Alex seasons that Alex has ever Alexed. It would be so fitting to see him continue to shit out regular season wins while looking like an enormous smelly rancid green turd. And then at the end of the year, when he gets told to go **** himself, he starts up another pity party campaign like he did when SF traded him. "Why does everybody hate me? All I do is win!" He never will figure it the **** out. That is his punishment for his cowardice.

Just no way

I will be stunned if we trade up that far.

I will have a seizure if we trade up that far and don't ridiculously overpay to do it. Dorsey will end up giving our 1st, 3rd this year and a 1st next year to do it.
