There's absolutely 0 chance Kentucky would hire a first time coach after 1 season (granted, a phenomenal season) that will be 57 in the fall, much less pay $40 million for Cal's buyout.

There's no other open jobs that I think would be worth Tang leaving for today.

You kstate dudes deserve that shit. Wow, I can't guarantee I'll root for them every game moving forward, but I won't be rooting against them and that's about as good as I can do.

Jerome Tang is so hard to root against, man. He's ****ing awesome and seems by all accounts a great dude.

Plus, they have the best story in college basketball with Keyonte Johnson.

The 2 most recent/closest examples I can think are UNC with Guthridge (who was 60 in his first season) and Davis (who was 51).

They have as good of shot as anybody. There isn’t a dominant team left. But playing consistent ball is hard.
