Michigan and Notre Dame are after Jhonny Williams as well. Michigan has no shot, while ND has only a small one. This is another guy we NEED to keep.

PowerMizzou quote from KS OT Christian Gaylord on his Missouri offer:
The Tigers are the fourth school to have offered a scholarship to Gaylord, joining Kansas, Kansas State and Oklahoma State. Gaylord admitted, though, that his first SEC offer stood out. "It's pretty cool. Just getting an offer from an SEC school is pretty humbling because you know that all your hard work has paid off so far," he said. "To have the opportunity to play in a big league like that, it's just very humbling."

I'll wait for Prison Bitch to let me know when a recruit gets several SEC offers and then swoons when a Big 12 offer comes in due to the gravity of the conference...

Maybe the Big 12 could use this as a recruiting strategy...
Why be the next great quarterback to come out of the SEC when you could be the first great (hell...good) quarterback to come out of the Big 12?

Anyone heading to Oxford this weekend? I'm leaving tonight...I'm pretty excited to tailgate at The Grove. Pretty nervous about the game though...will be curious to see how the QB situation is handled if Franklin doesn't start well.

Missouri senior defensive end Michael Sam is a finalist for two prestigious college football honors, the Bronco Nagurski Trophy and the Lombardi Award.
Both sets of finalists were announced Thursday. The Nagurski Trophy, which is chosen by the Football Writers Association of America, goes to the nation’s best defensive player. Sam, who leads the Southeastern Conference in tackles for loss (16) and sacks (10), is the second Tiger to be chosen as a finalist for the Nagurski Trophy, joining former All-American defensive end Justin Smith, who was a finalist in 2000. Michigan State linebacker Darqueze Denard, Pittsburgh defensive tackle Aaron Donald, Florida State defensive back Lamarcus Joyner and Alabama linebacker C.J. Mosley are the other finalists. The winner will be announced Dec. 9 at the Charlotte Touchdown Club. Sam, who has three three-sack games this season and returned a fumble for a touchdown against Georgia, is also one of four finalists for the Lombardi Award, which is presented annually to college football’s best lineman. Donald, Mosley and UCLA linebacker Anthony Barr are the other finalists for the Lombardi Award, which will be announced Dec. 11 in Houston. Sam also is a semifinalist for the Chuck Bednarik Award, which will announce its three finalists Nov. 25. Read more here: http://www.kansascity.com/2013/11/21...#storylink=cpy

I didn't have a very high opinion of Franklin at one time, and I don't think I was nearly alone in that. Fans are often wrong about players, but the coaches usually know better. |
