I'll never understand why guys like Mecole and Brown think they deserve to be paid like top flight players when they are not on that level. Team success just goes to their heads I guess. Teams see the film guys. If you were elite, you'd be getting paid like you were. I'm really sorry Mecole, you were hurt most of this season and your 4 previous years were very up and down. Nobody is going to hand you $40 million guaranteed.

Come back for one more year and earn some money if you want it.

This is exactly the problem. Some of these guys think they're better than they are because all they've done is win in their time here.

Guess Gaines is kind of a bummer. I wasn't as fussed by him as others here, or Saunders going, but those DT options are looking awfully thin right now. Chris Wormley, Matt Ioannides, are those guys still there. Think that's about it before it gets pretty dicey.

Yeah dont doubt they'll get some warm bodies in. Just felt like an area they'd improve and not have to break the bank to do so, but some of the deals handed out were actually not too bad for DTs. So maybe they just didn't see value.

Sucks not getting Gaines and there isn't much out there for NT types. A'Shawn Robinson is going to visit the Giants. That basically leaves Poona Ford... Meh, but I guess. Mehbe Carlos Watkins too I guess. Ugh.

Alot more rotational 3's out there that would make some sense.

They probably feel good enough at this point about Shelton/Williams if they absolutely have too. None of these guys are a wilfork freak or anything. So it’s probably easily justified not to spend the money on a tier 1 jag vs whatever is left.
