***The Official HERM MUST BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY Reasoning and Statistics Repository***

Much like the offseason moves repository htis used to do, I think we should use this as the official listing of all the reasons Herm should be fired immediately. Feel free to contribute your thoughts.

I robbed some of the stuff in Rainman's Record thread here

General Ineptitude
2-14 in 2008
4-12 in 2007
2-23 in last 25 games
15-34 (30.6 winning %) in 3 years as Chiefs HC
56-77 (42.1 winning %) Career
Longest losing streak in Chiefs history.
Worst season record
Most losses in a 2 year span (26) in Chiefs History.
Most losses at home (7)
Most points allowed in Franchise History
Herm said "Practice always goes well. It's those games we have trouble with."

Personnel Moves
Croyle as QBOTF with no backup (I'm looking at you Huard)
Alfonso Boone at LDE...Seriously
Moving Hali to RDE
Ty "your damn shoes" Law
The Medlock Fiasco
Novak over Barth
Huard started 2007
Damion McIntosh at RT over Taylor and Richardson
Adrian Jones at RG over anyone else on the roster
DJ at MLB
Jeff Webb continues to be on the roster
Gun remains employed
Krumrie remains employed
Kris Wilson at Fullback
Boomer at Fullback

Game Management
Wasted 2 timeouts in 1 play
Lost 8 games by 7 points or less in 2008
Herm decided to punt to Peyton Manning with 3:30 left on THIRD DOWN instead of seeing what his appointed QBOTF who played well to that point had.
Herm pulled a similar move with the game winding down with the Saints in 2008

Offensive Dumbassery
416 carries for LJ
No first downs in the first half of the Indy Playoff game
We ran the option...WTF?!

Defensive Dumbassery
NOTE: Herm was brought in as a defensive guy
Fewest season sacks in NFL history
Most points yeilded in 1 game by a chiefs team (54 vs Buffalo)
Chiefs gave up 2543 rushing yards in 2008
The return of the 32 D

We can't run the ball, we can't stop the run, he was brought into "fix" the defense, THREE FREAKING YEARS AGO!

Yeah, lots of coaches run the ball on third and long, but punting to Manning with the game on the line is a collosal mistake. All to gain 2 yards for your punter. You have to nut up and take a shot. If you take a sack for 5 yards, your kicker has to kick it 7 additoinal yards oh god! You have to ****ing try to win the game. You just have to.

To that point, I had put up with his BS, even though starting Huard pissed me off to no end. But that was it. There is most definitely a time to run the ball, play for field position, and let your defense do your thing. But there is also a time to exercise intestinal fortitude, put the ball in your playmakers hands and try to win the game.

Herm may make a decent coach someday, but at this point, he isn't it. All we can hope for is a offensive genius, because I don't think he's headed anywhere soon.

He couldn't even provide a def. or off. line that was worth a flip. They can't run the ball or provide enough protection for a pocket passing QB. They cant stop the run or put any pressure on the opposing QB. The game is won or lost on that line. 9-7 with Vermeil's line but only 6-26 with his own.

I was on the fence yesterday morning. But if he can't get his team to play better against the Bengals, then screw him. Time to move on. The only coach that should remain is Gailey

Add Hali to RDE
Herm also punted to Drew Brees instead of going for a short fourth down in opponents' territory with the game winding down
