Belichick hasn't drafted well for 15 years.

If nothing else, there needs to be a tighter grip on player personnel. And giving Belichick a free hand last season ended up with a DC trying to run an offense.

'Big Picture' there is nothing positive to say about any of that. It's just failure - as confirmed by the fact that they fired Patricia; though of course they just went and hired another crony to replace him.

Having a QB that could cover for his offensive deficiencies made a guy with a great eye for defense and game management a classic 'right guy, right place, right time' scenario.

BB and Brady were perfect complements. Brady/Reid wouldn't have had the same level of success, IMO.
