We thankfully don’t have any data caps, at least not yet. Another benefit of part of a much smaller user base.

Yeah, and it's sort of a chicken and egg thing. Nobody creates or funds companies building services that require people to have 100mbps if it's a tiny fraction of the population. I think Googles fiber push was a good thing.

They ran fiber through North KC a few years back. It runs about 400 mbps. $300 installation fee got me 8 or 9 years of service.
It's through FiberKC/Linkcity and their customer service is absolutely terrible. I've only just recently had a three day outage; but it took about 15 phone calls and an in office visit to get it resolved. I guess I will just deal with it since I've lived here exactly 3 years now and that's the only real pain in the ass experience I've had. |

I thought I was getting 100 Mbps in a package deal from Spectrum (TWC/Charter). So I voted 50 - 99.9 since I assumed I wasn't going to actually get 100. To my surprise, I'm getting about 240 Mbps down and about 12 up.

I need to revisit my situation. I haven't really paid much attention to what I get and how much it cost. Been with Centurylink Prism for 10+ years and I am paying $66 for 10 down 1 up. My speed test shows closer to 6 down and .5 up. Time to go talk with their retention folks.

It is listed in your contract. Of you can go to speedtest.net and they will give you the actual speed up and down that you are being provided.
