I paid $220 each for upper level row two. Chiefs side, one section off midfield.
Then my wife's friend did us a solid and sold us her tickets on the Chiefs side 50 yard line, row 23 for considerably less. Our nephew and his wife are taking the upper level seats.

I sat in row 24 on the 50 for the Chiefs Divisional win against the Colts in 2018. Pat's family is in the suite box right behind you. Pretty cool seats.

At the moment, the upper level end zone tickets (first few rows) where I've sat for a couple of AFCCGs are about the price I paid for the Patriots game... and the AFCCG tickets are twice that.
Divisional round looks to be the sweet spot at the moment... better availability than the AFCCG and more reasonably price compared to only seeing one playoff caliber team this weekend.

That makes me wonder, something I've often wondered.
Would you rather go to a game that's a comfortable win, has some good highlight plays and fun early, but no drama -- or a tense game we ultimately win but is sloppy, in doubt, offering plenty of drama and tension, but less fun for ~58 minutes? |

I'd phrase your question another way.... would you rather go to a game where the ONLY acceptable outcome is an easy win, or a game that could go either way and could be a great game in a loss or an amazing victory. And I'd personally take a game like the Chiefs/Patriots AFCCG over this game. The bar was raised that season and they hadn't played in a game of that importance in almost 30 years. Last year I was gleefully optimistic and right now I'm just kind of annoyed they even have to play the Steelers... not that the Chiefs are 'above them' or whatever, and they could obviously still lose if they play like shit, but because this is the ****ing playoffs and the Steelers are terrible. I feel more or less obligate to watch, because the bar has been raised far above winning this kind of game. I'll be more excited to see what they can do against the Bengals or Bills (not so much LV, but smacking them around would at least be more fun than the Steelers).

We got to hang out in the suites area next to the press box before that Colts game and shoot the shit with Collinsworth. He was on his tablet out in the bar area having lunch and we chopped it up with him. Also got a prediction out of him (he said Colts by 7 bc the cold and wind would hurt Mahomes). It was actually 3 years ago today as I got a google photos reminder this morning. That game was the monkey off the back and finally winning a playoff game at home against a team that owned us postseason. And then the Texans game. I was just shellshocked after the first 15 minutes of the game. Never in my wildest imagination did I (or anyone there) imagine a scenario with a worse start than that. But.....we had PMII. I was nervous, yes, but old me would've maybe left right then dejected. Didn't even cross my mind and then the next 2.5 hours were maybe the most fun football I've ever watched in person. It was straight electric in that stadium. I'll be there Sunday night. At this point in the season, first week of the playoffs, give me a repeat of the 36-10 game a few weeks ago and I'll walk out a happy fan. |
