What possible difference does it make? It's a nonsense argument whether the talent is homegrown or imported. If BB realizes Player A was miscast by some other team, and brings him in to fill a specific role and he excels at it, who cares.

Stephen Gilmore is regarded by many as the top CB in the NFL. Does it matter that he was drafted by the Bills?

Jaime Collins spent a couple years with the Browns, but is a physical freak of nature. Does his time with the Browns make him less able to be great with the Patriots?

Danny Shelton has lost weight and is outperforming expectations this year after being somewhat disappointing in Cleveland and, frankly, last year with the Patriots.

All I'm saying is that the way Belichik runs the front 7 it's a system that makes players look good and it's very cost effective. It's about the system more than the players and has been for a long time. No argument against Gilmore the secondary is legit talented. You should be happy your head coach has figured out a way to get solid production out of guys like Rob Ninkovich, not upset the players aren't as good as you think they are. The chiefs will probably use all their high draft picks the next several years on front 7 players trying to get tougher against the run while Belichik will sign a bunch of guys off the waiver wire and use a couple of late round picks and still get better results.

How can it possibly be "a system" when it's different every year, and often different game by game? How can it be "a system" which somehow applies both to 3-4 and 4-3, and which applies to the full range of defensive coverages? If it's "a system" and not about the players, then why are other teams not replicating that system themselves? If it's just "a system", then what exactly is that system? Put a name to any part of what he does with those guys which is different from what other coaches are doing.

Equation: (pass yds + 20*(pass TD) - 45*(INTs) - sack yds)/ (passing attempts +sacks)

Basically is how efficient the passing game is. These numbers are also adjusted for opponents so playing better teams means a higher score.
