If it wasn’t for some of the horribly officiated games Mahomes has been involved in, he’d have at least 5-6 more big time wins under his belt and probably another Super Bowl appearance. It’s mind boggling to think about.

Yeah we lost because of the refs not because our defense couldn't stop them on the final drive

the refs shouldn't have called Dee Ford offsides. They made Mahomes play awful the 2nd half against Cincy too

You mean like when we stopped them, CJ sacked Ryan and that was basically game, until the refs bailed them out with a fresh set of downs because of mean words? Like that??

Yeah thats why we lost the game ended right there and the Colts were awarded 7 points. The refs and the league wanted the team with the most popular player in the sport to lose to a bad Colts team.

If only the George Brett statue was closer. It’s pointless trying to explain to you why the league wanted the division’s to be close for the first part of the season. Or why we drew Clete ****ing Blakeman for that game. Or why Mahomes has a losing record in games he refs. Just so happens Mahomes sucks every time we have him as our ref. Surely no coincidence!

Conspiracy theorists gotta conspiracy theorist, man.

The call can be both (a) a horribly egregious call, without which the Chiefs almost assuredly win and (b) not indicative of a massive conspiracy involving dozens of people.

But conspiracy theorists...

John Hussey: Referee Penalty Trends & Betting Stats

John Hussey has been the best referee for home teams since the start of the 2016 season.

Hussey’s officiating trends towards a “let ‘em play” style:

Hussey called the 3rd fewest penalties per game in 2021
Hussey called near the fewest in NFL in key penalty categories: unnecessary roughness, roughing the passer & defensive holding
Hussey led the NFL in 2021 in calling the newly implemented “unsportsmanlike conduct” penalty
Over the past 6 seasons, when Hussey is the referee, home teams have been heavy favorites, going:

64-33 (66%) against the Moneyline
29-11 (73%) against the Moneyline in Divisional match-ups
55-39-3 (59%) against-the-spread (ATS)
28-10-2 (74%) ATS in Divisional match-ups
11-5 ML & ATS in the 2021 NFL season

Gonna put my optimist hat on. We’ve had a few games with horrible lobsided playcalling vs the chiefs where we got real nice calls in the second half. Fingers crossed

These calls are brutal. Chase pushes off every single time, the roughing was complete ass, the pass inference was questionable at best and it took away a pick.
