Is it time to replace Arrowhead with a dome?

The cold, crappy Dec/Jan. KC weather doesn't appear to provide any real home field advantage anymore.

At least the fans wouldn't be so miserable in a nice climate controlled facility. No more thousands of no shows or leaving at halftime on bad weather days.

I think that's why T.V. needed the horse medical equipment...

Thank you for the help.

I have searched through the site before, but, unfortunately, this particular game is one of the few that redirects to a domain that no longer exists. Huge bummer. I was hoping there was another source of old games that I have yet to find.

Thank you again.

Arrowhead is too old for something like that and this city has much more pressing needs

Dude, a lot of people didn't even bother showing up because of how miserable they thought they'd be. You think there'd be an empty seat if there was a roof?

You are assuming that people chose not go for concern of being miserable. It is just as likely they stayed home because of concern for driving conditions. A dome ain’t gonna help that.

Lower bowl was well represented, upper bowl, not so much.. But I'm not sure the 25% number is right though. There were fewer people at the Raider game we did attend. And everyvody knows I'm a fan of a rolling roof, and that hasn't changed.

While the snow doesn't bother me, I am at the point where 90+ degree summer games and 20'ish degree winter games aren't as fun as they used to be. The rolling roof would, hopefully, just make those two extremes less sucky..

In before, "you didn't even go to this game...." I know...

Meh, there's nothing great about any of the suburbs or outliers including the one I attended school at, so you're not alone in this.

I haven't been to a Chiefs game sinc ethe 2011 playoff loss to the Ravens. and, it's not looking like I'll be going any time soon again. I used to be firmly in the camp of outdoor stadium only....but, I'm starting to lean towards covered after seeing the Radiers new facility come together.

but honestly, I don't care one way or the other anymore since I'll likely never go to another game. I could see the Royals going downtown; and when the life of Arrowhead has run it's course, the Chiefs building an indoor stadium where Kauffman used to be. The Clarks will hold the Chiefs hostage to KCMO, and KCMO will pay for most of it. lol.

I wonder what other locations around the metro would be suitable for a stadium?

I think a rolling roof will suffice for now, and even though I'm be called-out as simply a fan of a roof, they'll be the same people who will ignore the number of empty seats we're starting to see in the upper deck that were always filling in the 2003-2006 time frame (when I was a lower bowl STH).

And I TOTALLY agree that the K needs to move downtown! It's nice, but it's street address is just wrong. But hey, that's just me...

As for where else Arrowhead could go, there would appear to be tons of land up near the airport - perhaps far enough away to be free of JACO politics. Then there's always JOCO; they always seem to be willing to get Topeka to do what JACO can't get Jefferson City to do. Well, Jefferson City will hook-up one of its counties, as long as it's St. Louis, but Topeka doesn't care about that pesky fact.

So it sure seems like simply putting a rolling roof that can go over both Arrowhead or the K might be the middle ground for all interested parties.
