Week 12 AFC West Projections

Well, with the Chiefs and Chargers on bye this week, there are only 2 games to talk about, so, I'll include a recap of week 11 to add.

The week 11 matchup of the Chiefs and Chargers in Mexico City was a bit disappointing. Patrick Mahomes had the worst game of his career. He was missing passes that he always makes, and he threw his second pick of the season to go with only one TD. Was it the altitude? Eric Fisher's rust from being out nearly all season? Was it Boss and Ingram being relentless all night? Or Hill going down early? Maybe it was all of the above. Regardless, the offense did not win the game. It was the defense, with 4 interceptions of Philip"cry me a" Rivers including a game ending pick by Sorenson in the endzone in the final seconds. It's nice to see the defense be the heroes for once. Hopefully, that's a sign of good things to come. Get the offense rolling and pair it with a strong defense, and nobody is unbeatable.

The Donks looked to pull the upset, jumping to a 20-0 halftime lead. Brandon Hall isn't the answer at QB, but Flaccid was worse, so they are a better team in the sense that gonhorea is better than aids. Better than bad does not equal good, and sure enough, the second half wasn't as kind for the Donks as the Vikings came back and won the game. This week, the Donks play another playoff contender in the Buffalo Bills. The Bills are a surprising 7-3 and have looked pretty good this year. I don't see the Donks getting into the endzone against the Bills defense. The Bills defense isn't as great, but it should do enough to beat the Donks. I'm picking the Bills by a score of 22-9

I don't have much to say about the Faiders. They beat up on a crappy opponent. That's the Raider way. Beat up on bad opponents, but lose to the good teams. That should continue this week as they face the lowly Jets. However, with a big matchup against the Chiefs that could be for the division lead the following week, the Fade good get caught looking ahead and lose to the Jets. The Jets did manage to pull off the upset against the Cowgirls recently. Can they do it again against the Fade? I hope so, but I seriously doubt it. I begrudgingly select the Raiders to win 23-16

A lot of people discount just how much elevation change can effect human performance and mental acuity. At 7,300 ft., there's about 20% less oxygen available than there is at 1,000 ft. And this isn't something a person can acclimate to in just a couple days; it requires the body to produce more red blood cells, which can take more than two weeks.

And it can affect people in different ways, many of them in very subtle ways.

For example, three years ago I went on a fishing trip in UT on Boulder Mountain with a couple buddies. We climbed up a steep 1.7 mile trail from 8,700 ft. to 11,000 ft. to fish a lake. It took more than two hours to make the climb as we were carrying 45-lb. packs. When we got there around 10 am, we found that other fishermen had left about a dozen beers next to a tree.

At first glance, we thought they had left those 24-oz. beer cans. When we got within a few feet, we realized that they were just regular 12-oz. cans. It was the lack of oxygen and the prolonged exertion that had an effect on our eyes and temporarily made those cans look bigger than they were.

Yeah. I wonder how much difference it made for the Chargers that they practiced in Denver last week to acclimate. Our guys were gassed, but Boss and Ingram were relentless from start to finish. It appears that it helped them.

Because they proved to be the loser front running posers that we knew they were.

Great write up. I think the Jets might pull the upset this week and the Fade do what they do best. Fade back into below mediocrity.

Of course it would be better than sex IF...
The Cheatriots lose.
Ravens lose.
Raiders lose.

I know I'll have to duck after saying this but in my opinion we should be hoping for the Bills to lose to the Damn Donks.

IF IF the Patriots begin to slide..& their remaining schedule shows its not impossible.. we don't want the Bills to keep rolling thru their Easy AFC East schedule.
And somehow claim one of the Byes.

Look at it this way a Donk win hurts Draft position..I'm reaching I know.

No need to duck and run....you’re right.
I was just thinking about this a few minutes ago when I looked at the schedule.
