Who thinks the Chiefs will win their first five games?

There are some Chiefs fans that believe based on our draft that the team will win the first 5 games.

Anyone else think so?

This team won't beat Oakland, Denver, Carolina or NE. Maybe they beat ATL..........1-4.

We can beat the black dumbasses. So, 2 and 3 with a possible tie as Herm decides to run out the clock with 10 minutes left.

I'm voting 3-2. I am expecting this team to take a different approach in the preseason this year. With season ticket sales dwindling... and a committment to a young roster... I expect the team to be much more prepared to play come opening day in New England.

A win in New England... or at least a very well played competative game... will do more for season ticket sales than anything. And a full Arrowhead Stadium cheering on the young guys could lead to an exciting season.

But the Chiefs know they have to make the first move to get the fans back. Look for a close one in New England.

I was wondering how long it would take you to hunt me down. That said I do find it rather amusing that most around here take the Oakland game as a gimme. I by no means think Oakland is a playoff contender they have however improved over last year. The Chiefs have done nothing that will show early results. They made long term strides but look much the same as the team that struggled last year. Time will tell

Unless my math is wrong KC beats the Raiders all but 7 times in 22 years.

Likely only 2nd to the San Fran over Rams streak as far as P0WN3D goes...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

1-4.

I hope we can't lose to Oakland, but who knows.

Atlanta was just as bad as we were last year, but we know how the Chiefs play on the road.

Very True but that has no affect on the two teams we are talking about. Oakland was one of the best teams in the NFL for years and that does not matter now. The Chiefs have won four playoff games since the ALF NFL formed into the NFC AFC. Once again that means nothing as far as the future. Looking at the 2008 Chiefs and Raiders I can see no reason why anyone could think a game between them is a no brainer. JMO

I'd bet it does.

Gannon wanted to beat KC in a mean way.

Without him that Oakland streak loses 3 games.

It means a lot to both teams.

Quite simply both Gun and Herm have made a living by their teams playing over their heads in games they shouldn't win.

On top of that the Raiders ALWAYS seem to have more talent and ALWAYS seem to find the worst ways to use it and lose. It's what they do.

And you add in the HC is fighting for his job with an owner that wants him gone...
