Do you enjoy holiday shopping?

Do you enjoy buying Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/Pancha Ganapati/Eid/Norooz/Festivus gifts for the various people and animals in your life? Or is it a chore?

I enjoy it but we make sure to do our best to avoid going out to do these things on the weekends. When that doesn't happen and we end up somewhere on the weekend it isn't fun to pick stuff out, it is stressful, annoying, and irritating.

No I hate it and I hate people asking me what I want. I do love the Christmas Season though, just not the need to give everyone that perfect gift. When I tell people to give to a charity instead of buying gifts for me, they say no really what do you want. Christmas is way too commerialized for my liking.

No. People either give you a detailed list and get pissed when you buy something that isn't on the list. Or they don't give you any idea of what they want and then are disappointed when you didn't read their mind.

I'm in the 'dislike' category. I don't mind giving gifts, and it's a nice feeling, but the actual shopping is painful. Other than my wife, I buy gifts for a handful of family members who live 500 miles away, and I have no idea what they like, want, or need. I figure that I usually waste money on stuff that they won't use and they usually waste money on stuff I won't use. I sure hope it's more about the thought than the gift.

It has always been kind of a depressing time of year and situation. You wish you could do more than you can, and you remember those that you can't be with.

Hate. All gift giving should be banned, except for children in your own family, and I'm on the fence about nephews and neices.

99% of the time it is an obligation. Internet/Amazon has taken a little of the hassle out of it, but I still hate it.

I don't even like getting them. Sometimes someone will ask me what I want, and I never know what to say. I want a big ass TV, but they mean what do I want that costs about $25. If I want something, and it costs $25, what I do is I go out and buy it.

And friends' kids are the worst. I hardly see the little shits anyway, and once you start with the gifts, you're an asshole if you stop.

/END RANT for now
