I went to his restaurant in New York City and it was absolutely terrible. It was basically just a more expensive Applebee’s. I can see why that guy spends his time visiting other people’s restaurants instead of eating at his own.

The NY spot was a tourist trap and widely known it was awful, and I don't think he had much to do with it other than branding. His legit places are supposed to be pretty good.
