Mahomes injury updates
Minus whale get this one started.

Postgame, Coach Andy Reid confirmed ankle sprain for Mahomes. Don't overlook this injury. By video this is not a standard low ankle sprain. This is a not a standard basketball low inversion sprain with predictable recovery.

By video this was a high ankle sprain. Albeit mild and Mahomes is obviously tough. One needs to wait for to see how much swelling occurs overnight and the next few days.

Will know more in the next few days. Expect some missed practice time and this could slow down the 2018 MVP throughout the month of September.

If this is as bad as we might be fearing, Andy needs to be VERY cautious with Mahomes.

Actually, from what I saw, on a few plays Mahomes was:

1. Not recognizing the blitz.

2. Holding the ball WAY too long.

The OL had a few issues, but Mahomes did not do a good job of protecting himself on that field.

Mahomes did not seem concerned about it in his presser, and neither did Andy.

He will take it easy in practice this week and be ready to go Sunday.

Hopefully we can jump up 45-0 on the Faiders at halftime and he can take the second half off.
