My Date With Drew...
Just caught the last 30 minutes or so of this documentary on Showtime, and laughed my a$$ off. Highly recommended.

Basically, the guy tries to make a documentary of his experience in LA trying to see if a regular guy could get a date with Drew Barrymore, whom he has a big crush on. The documentary works because there isn't a hint of cynisism or bias or "agenda" in it, like most movies that you see today (fiction or non). It's just a flawed but likeable guy trying to do something that seems nearly impossible, and you're rooting for him the whole way...


I'm gonna have to go buy this so I can see the whole thing...

I thought it was OK. I saw it yesterday. It was charming and funny, but a rather clever attempt to launch a film career.

He wasn't successful. He tried to get a date with her in 30 days and it didn't work out. It wasn't until they put the website up and got radio and TV interviews that Drew's publicity agent finally saw the site.

Just goes to show you the power of the web.
