Wow. Tickets still available for the Jags game.

Blackout!

A limited number of tickets remain for Sunday’s Chiefs-Jaguars game.

They may be purchased on-line at www.kcchiefs.com, by phone at 800/676-5488 or by visiting any Ticketmaster Ticket Center or the Chiefs Arrowhead Ticket Office.

Some additional tickets may be forthcoming from the number allotted the visiting team. These are usually not available until later in the week and may be in short supply.

Glad I saw this on the planet, it prompted me to check ebay. Just bought two tickets for $75 with no shipping. Not the best seats (upper bowl about the 15 yard line) but still, thats $25 below face value and I didn't even have to pay any service charge (about $9 per ticket on ticketmaster.)

Kansas has been a dominant team in the last 60 years in college basketball. Everybody knows their name, and understands the prestige that goes along with it. They have only won 2 NCAA titles, that is it.

Do you know who also has two titles? Florida, Louisville, San Fransisco, UCONN, Cincinnati, Oklahoma State, NC State, Michigan State.

I can tell you this, I would probably blow my head off if I was a San Francisco basketball fan.
I look back at the chiefs and saw alot of potential, then i saw them shit on themselves consistently where i got tired of it. I'd take a SB victory and sucking for a few years and working back up. I don't like having my heart ripped out every single year personally.

I got tickets for the Jags game from the wife for my B-day in Aug.
$49.00 each, I think she payed more though from someone on line?
Gate H
Row 40
Sec 343
seat 12 & 13

I want to tailgate but the wife says "NO"
She just wants to go to the game then leave, wtf.
It sure would be fun to tailgate, considering it's something that I have missed out on the games I've been too.

I'm still happy I get to go, hopefully I can change her mind, or she can stay home .

It is BS. I don't know what to do but move out I guess?

For my first B-day that we were together she got me a weekend package for the K-State Neb, KC vs Falcons. That weekend rocked!!! A bus trip with plenty of boos. So I figured I should mary her. I converted her from being a Bronco fan also. Damn she is a red head too.
What was I thinking?

I guess I'm just used to being a KU fan. I expect to be good every year, and I expect to choke in the playoffs.

I don't understand that logic though. Florida Marlins have won 2 World Series in like the last 10 years. Would you really want to be a Florida Marlin's fan? Granted it's a tad better than the Royals, but pretty shitty nonetheless.
The Marlins are completely different... they've had huge fire sales after their WS. They've obviously sold out for a couple of rings.

The Colts are Patriots have gone against league parity... I completely agree with you. I'd love to be good almost every single year. Too bad the Chiefs aren't one of those teams. We were shitty for the 80s, were good, and now we're stuck in mediocrity. I'd give up a few more shitty years for what the Colts have..... hell, isn't that what 'true fans' want more than anything... to suffer for years so when their team wins something they can say they were around when it was bad?

The last time a game was blacked out was the second game of the 1991 season against the New Orleans Saints. I was actually at the game which we lost 17-10(Deberg threw a pick inside the red zone at the end of the game and Derrick Thomas had a TD called back because of a delay of game penalty on New Orleans). The first 2 games of the '91 season were blacked out. We were only a few hundred tickets short of a sellout for the opener against Atlanta and the Saints game, but back then Price Chopper or some other local company didn't step forward and buy up the extra tickets.

Newsflash moron, Kansas City has been in the top 4 in GROSS ATTENDANCE the last 5 years. I'm not talking about capacity, just sheer amount of fan's in the league.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/attendance?year=2006

Go ahead, check for yourselves. I am damn proud of our fan base. It's sad I am the only person in the entire chiefsplanet that appreciates it.

Look at Indianapolis, only 57K after winning the super bowl and they don't even occupy 95% of their stadium.

Arizona really must be sad they built that new stadium just to see it half full. That is pathetic.
