That seems like a bad idea to me, but maybe he knows the offense well enough to be a coach on the field.

I don't think many KU fans have ever actually seen the kid play. There's a lot to like about the thought of a former 5-star top 25 kid in the country coming to your program, even for a single season. At the same time, things didn't quite go the way it was expected for the kid at Notre Dame.

Honestly - Crist isn't good. He has some talent, but he has a handful of braindead moments every game where he just makes the absolute worst decision that you could make.

You guys would probably be better served by developing Webb, unless Weis is dead certain that he's going to be bringing in a new guy this year to take over in 2013 anyway.

Crist isn't good enough to justify wasting a year of development for a long-term quarterback option. Unless you're ready to cut bait on Webb, Crist is just a placeholder.

He was excited that Weis was going to KU on the radio Friday. I'm not sure if that excitement was translated into a "he wants/has a job at KU."

Bernie Parmalee would be a possibility to KU now that the Chiefs' coaching staff will be blown up.

He already knows the system/offense. Sure it's just for one year, but it seems almost like a no-brainer if he can get him to ku.

DJ, it's more of a question along the lines of "would you rather have Palko or Cassell taking the snaps for a year?" type question.

Of course we'd rather have Cassell than Palko. But that doesn't make me sleep better at night.

Great news! Hopefully, that will get Bernie Parmalee and his son Tre (Otis Taylor award recipient for best WR in KC area) to KU. Grunny coached Tre at Bishop Miege.

There are a number of candidates that were offered the job, but turned it down. However, I feel they were actually worst candidates than Charlie Weis.
