Exactly..Mahomes single-handedly kept Tech in that ball game because of his scrambling ability, off platform throws etc.. I'm glad to see his natural abilities translate to the NFL AND doing it with the Chiefs...

Nothing really to do with the Chiefs but I went into my fantasy draft this year knowing that I wanted to get Mahomes because it's the first year of a dynasty league.

Aaron Rodgers went in the 3rd round and I took Mahomes a couple of picks later. All I heard for the next month was that it was the biggest reach that anyone had ever seen.

No one is talking shit now. In fact I've gotten several messages from people wanting to know what it would take to get him off my team.

I got him in the 6th. He was the #1 QB on my board and I waited until QB's started to go.

God I love watching that.

As a guy that played a shitload more baseball growing up (and was much better at it than I was football), that shit gives me wood.

That's infielder training through and through man; quarterbacks don't do that because they've just never trained their bodies for it. But 9 out of 10 infielders can contort their bodies and deliver a ball just like that.

Even that's a little more conventional; he took a couple of strides with his shoulders turned and threw without much windup to speak of.

Mahomes, OTOH, used his left leg to drive his shoulders around as he was running to his left - that's just remarkable.

Not to mention that gif shows about a 12 yard throw, at most. Mahomes is chucking it 35 yards downfield across the middle of the field. I love me some Joe Montana. Him coming to KC got me to be a Chiefs fan after being reluctant to embrace them for years. But if we're comparing arms .....

Indeed, there's no comparing arms. Mahomes can get much more on said throw.

But Montana had some body control rolling to his left that Walsh would rave about.

I waited as long as I could to get him. I was sweating the whole time worrying someone would nab him before me. Finally pulled the trigger in the 7th round. Players taken before him: Amari Cooper, Demaryius Thomas, Zach Ertz, Jimmy Garoppolo, Matthew Stafford, Larry Fitzgerald, Lamar Miller, Doug Baldwin, Marshawn Lynch, Alex Collins, Royce Freeman. Ouch.

That’s also like 15 yards. Mahomes turned his body and threw the ball damn near 50 yards in the air.

That’s crazy.

Mahomes has terrible mechanics and footwork, he'll never make it in the NFL.

Can you imagine if we get down 21 points in a game?

Mahomes is going to pull out all the stops.

We're going to see sick shit.

I sincerely hope the defense holds up the next time Mahomes brings us back from a 24-9 or worse deficit because I hate coming all the way back and not winning. It's not fair!
