6/9 for 50 yards. His arm was a freakin' laser. Schilens caught 5 passes for 52 yards. McFadden had 63 yards on 4 carries.

The other QB's also played well. So I guess we didn't watch the same game.

His arm being a laser was never in doubt. But there are shitty quarterbacks that look great in the preseason all the time, yet when it comes to the regular season they suck all of a sudden. I'm not worried about Russell.

Of course your not.

Chiefs fans never take into account the improvement of players on other teams.

I wouldn't go so far as to say he's definitely improved. I'll need more than a couple series in preseason to make that assessment.

Of course.

But outright dismissal is just plain dumb.

He looked a whole lot better than I expected...I was really expecting a Thigpen-esque performance.

But he's so goddamn huge, the Fade really need to bust his ass and get him slimmed down. I mean, he looked like an aging McNair when he had to scramble..

lmao

he completed a bunch of short passes/screens....he missed his 3 deep balls badly - they weren't lasers, they were ducks - and two of them, the fist and second, could/should have been intercepted....if it weren't for a flagrantly bogus PI call on the second, which ended up being 47 yards, they wouldn't have even scored a FG with russell

a fat ass throwing 4 yard swing passes doesn't excite me that much, but knock yourself out.....

I dunno, Gannon won MVP of the league doing it, AND a trip to the super bowl. (sure we lost, but we got there )
