2019 Free agency Thread

We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.

If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research.

I'm guessing they'll parse around the edges of FA, maybe another safety or DE to a cheaper end deal then head to the draft.

What's the point of letting go of Justin Houston if you're not going to use the money elsewhere? We're still fine salary cap wise and while Houston is on the decline and not worth his salary he still would have made this defense better. If this defense doesn't jump at least 10 spots in the rankings there should be hell to pay.

Maybe Houston knows we were switching everything up and didn’t feel like he was needed anymore?

Maybe he wanted to change of scenery

Maybe he didn’t want to pay in 4-3

There’s other things that could have happened that would have nothing to do with money.

Don’t automatically assume that Chiefs ****ed up.

Because as of today, March 27th, we know they're not going to spend anymore money.

I read a report, don't know how true the "rumor" was but this guy basically said the minute Houston found out the Chiefs were walking on Berry he wasn't taking a paycut and basically didn't wanna be here because Berry is his buddy etc etc. And he apparently has ill feelings of the Chiefs for cutting Berry.

Zero ****s given.

Would it have been awesome to win a ring with Houston and Berry? Yeah. But considering that they've made a shit ton of money and haven't played together a bunch in the last couple of years due to injuries....I don't ****ing care.

Say he does trade for a veteran CB. Are you carrying 6 CBs next season if you draft one?

1. Veteran CB
2. Breeland
3. Fuller
4. Ward.
5. Smith
6. Rookie
