Wow.

$27M for the 24th rated passer and a 1.13-to-1 TD/INT ratio.

I'm betting Philip Rivers is looking at that and smiling.

Phillip Rivers and Eli Manning are going to enjoy this offseason, this much is clear.

Rivers deserves it, IMO.

Manning, not so much.

I loved the Inside the NFL segment a few weeks ago when they asked Simms about this potential contract, and he said, "well, he'll get it, but he's maybe the 15th best QB in the league."

Eli's basically getting paid because he had a 6 game run over his 4 year career, and his defense shut down the most potent offense in the league, getting him a ring.

With salaries like that, making the Pioli the highest paid GM is so worth it. His salary is chump change comparatively, and he has so much more impact long-term than almost all of those players.

Not to change the subject... But, other than a 5 year deal as the highest paid GM in the league, does anybody know any details of his contract?

Why? Who cares? It is not your money and it has no impact on how much can be spent on players.
