Wow. If Berry doesn't play count me in on the Berry hating band wagon. **** this lol, what are you here for anymore? To just play one game - the hypothetical SuperBowl? No **** this. If you can't get on the field even for the playoffs then you don't deserve to be their for a potential AFCCG/SB.

The whole “they’re saving him for x” game was always just hope anyway.

There’s are only 16 games in a season. If he eeew able to play, they’d have had him out there

The most probable explanation isn't that he's lazy or a pansy, it's that the injury was mishandled and he should have just had the surgery. Houston's knee injuries were mishandled in exactly the same way.

It's also possible he is prolonging that as much as possible, had he had his other achillies unattached the same offseason as the other he might be done for good.

This way he prolongs this and probably gets another year or 2 of pay. They can't make him get surgery.

Houston was told by dr Andrews he was able to play. The chiefs wanted him to have surgery once the season was over and it was determined there was a problem

I’m not sure how the chiefs can force these guys to have surgery

They should be able to when they're paying them ridiculous money.

I hope he enjoys his money because this whole situation has done nothing but sour my opinion of him.

Think about having a coworker that hangs around the office every once in a while, but hasn’t done but 10 minutes of work the last 2 years while consuming a large amount of resources that could be used to increase productivity.

The worst part is other people saying “just wait until he comes back, things will really improve!” all while you and your coworkers have fought and clawed their way to the being the best company in the region.

This situation is straight-up ****ed. Period.

Yep. I find it hard to believe the rest of the team is ok with this.

Most folks figured "Well, they are saving him for the playoffs" and I get that. Unfortunately, it isn't the case.

I said back in late September (or maybe October) that I would highly doubt that Berry ever saw the field again - and I was wrong. He DID make a couple of appearances but didn't do much other than yell at teammates (with good cause).

As much as I hate to say it - Berry is done.
