Which country would be the easiest to move to and instantly be wealthy?
I'm not going to reveal my net worth, but if I were to sell my home, most of my property, cash out my 401k and basically liquidate everything where would be the easiest to move to and live comfortably without having to work again? Developed nations only, I'm not moving to Haiti.

Do a quick search for best places to retire in the World.

Good starting point.

Next look at costs of renting a place, easy to find online with pictures.

Then you can dig into what a local restaurant costs for a meal. Some can be like $4-5 max.

I lived in Taiwan for almost a year. It was an awesome experience.

The people are really nice. So much so that I daydream constantly about moving back there... just because of the people.

The weather is great if you don't like winter. Just like FL if you're into humidity. I don't like dry places. Lived in Denver for 7 years and my skin hated it.

Pretty cheap too. This was 10 years ago so I can't speak for current prices. Rent for a 30 ping apartment (1000 sq ft) in Banqiao (basically Taipei) was around $300 a month. I split this with a buddy so I was at around $150 a month for my end. This was a desirable location real close to the Banqiao night market.

Transportation was a little iffy. Everyone has mopeds or rides the MRT subway. The one thing I didn't like about Banqiao and the big cities was the pollution. It's like LA.

Basically free health care once you're established. I had a benign tumor removed from my foot that grew from a previous break in my tarsals. Total cost for the surgery, meds and hospital stay for a few days was $175 USD.

I could go out and eat like a king for $10. Regular meals would range from $1.50 to $3.00.

A good amount of people speak English too. Definitely enough to be able to get around. Even if you're not moving, I would recommend taking an extended trip there.

I really liked Wai'ao Beach in Yilan (black sand beach). If I went back, this is where I would live.

Kenting was a pretty cool spot too. Reminded me of the show Lost.

My cousin retired from the state of Colorado and moved to Colombia. He couldn't live on his pension in the U.S. without continuing to work, but down there he lives comfortably; not rich, but I'm sure he seems rich to most of his neighbors.

Seems to enjoy doing nothing.
