Alright Negative Nancies, I'm Calling my Shot!

I'm sick of all the negativity not only on CP, but all over social media regarding the Chiefs. I think the team uses the blowback from the Buffalo game as a galvanizing point for the team and we get not only petty Pat but petty Chiefs for the rest of the season.

The Chiefs are going 4-0 to close out the regular season. Baltimore is going to drop 2 of their last 4 games and Miami is going to lose 2 of their last 4 games. Chiefs get the number 1 seed. Chiefs beat Jacksonville in the divisional round at Arrowhead and then beat Miami in the AFC Championship game.

P.S.--I'm starting the GDTs for the next 4 games before giving it up to Hammock Parties for the playoffs.

Let's ****ing go!!

Agree with everything but the Clay part. He’s the biggest Debbie Downer on here right now.

Agreed. And that is why I don't think giving back to Clay is the right move. He trashed Mahomes.

Man, I must be living in some bizarro world if I'm siding with Direckshun.

100%

Why are we considering riding with him in the playoffs? Guy has legitimately been shitting all over the board about how this explicitly isn’t our year for the last week.

He’s a limp dick pussy with no confidence. I think going with him is bad juju.

It honestly didn’t even cross my mind that this is what he was meaning. That’s a troll post right? That can’t be a real thought someone had.
I'm pretty sure he's talking about how if, say, a motorcycle helmet falls to the concrete, it may be compromised and should be replaced. Of course, this is not the first time we've ever seen Patrick (or other players....Kelce?) throw their helmet. Sure the Chiefs should/will get him a new one. I think Dan is saying that it might make kids think they can throw their helmets when they are mad and that could compromise their helmets and make them less safe.

FALSE! I did it for ONE DAY.

I've been the biggest homer on this board all year.

That's exactly what I'm thinking.
Now I'm wondering if motorcyclists are still advised about this. Back in the 1980s when I rode, that was something you were liable to learn, that helmets are good for one big impact and need to be replaced after that.
The football helmets us high schoolers played with back then (in the 1980s) were the same ones the pros were wearing, and the shells on those seemed like they also could take some big impacts, but they weren't much sturdier than motorcycle helmets.

I know the helmets are better nowadays, but there's still room for improvement and they are designed for what they are designed for. A big-armed QB throwing a helmet so that it rotates and bangs into the ground is not part of the design specification, I don't think.

I was told that when I first started riding. The helmets just have that Styrofoam in them, so I'd say it is probably still true.
