An entertainment district cannot survive off of 10 or so Sunday afternoons a year. The stadium is almost inconsequential when looking at building something like that. Variables like local average income and local competition are much more relevant. That part of Jackson county is poor as shit and there are bars and shopping and dining just down the road.

Bottom line is if it is a good idea, why haven't they done it already?

Retail is pretty much dead. Plus you have Independence Center just down the road with a bunch of restaurants, Costco, Silverstein Event center all across the street and still that area isn't doing too well.

If the Chiefs are staying there then the village thing makes sense, along with knocking down the Adams Mark and putting in a better hotel.

I guess I should have made myself clearer.

I’m talking bars/restaurants/sports apparel type places who would go there before & after games.

Think of places you go to before or after a game.

We always hit Jack Stack, Q39, Funhouse, etc…before the game & get a drink after the game.

I would support that idea another thing to think about along with that jia tailgating. It's not going to make sense to have that sort of stuff along with anyone wanting to tailgate. I'd imagine they will have a special area for that and would charge. Is that something are most ok with? Alot of a Ying and Yang here but let's not kid ourselves the City, County, Hunts whoever are going to try and maximize their profits.
