Let's talk about the Steelers

And how we are going to destroy them.

I hope they do. That's the kind of stupid crap that led to the Chargers missing the playoffs altogether. Those are low percentage plays that rarely work even when it's unexpected.

I don't know why anyone would expect them to come out flat in a Sunday night playoff game. The stakes are way higher than vs Denver.

Also, let's not forget that Denver actually moved the ball fairly well against the Chiefs in KC too. They ran it well on the Chiefs both times. The difference was more turnovers in the first game. Outside of the Bengals and Chargers, Denver's actually moved the ball more successfully than any other team vs KC the last few months. Probably the familiarity factor. Plus solid RBs.

Denver's blocking schemes cause fits for most run defenses, not just the Chiefs.

of all the teams in the playoffs (AFC and NFC) the steelers are the best matchup for our defense.

Ben cant scramble, nor throw downfield worth a crap anymore.

Really helps our defense.

Stop their running game, you stop the steelers.

Stopping the Steelers running game isn’t a tall task. They’re the 4th least productive rushing offense in the league.

Given what their pass offense looks like, everybody knows they're going to try to be run heavy if they can. Makes it easier to stop because it's so predictable. Plus they don't really have the ability to test teams deep, so they can collapse down on the LOS.

They tend to fall behind because they do not score early. Their first half scoring numbers are atrocious. I seriously have no idea how that team managed to luck their way into the playoffs. Say what you will about this year's Chiefs team, but they do not lose to bad football teams. Each loss has been to a legit squad, with possible exception of San Diego, err toiletbowl... they have a legit squad but a dumbshit HC (and we gifted them that win by handing the ball to them multiple times... same goes for the HEALTHY Ravens).

In the six games the Chiefs have won in the playoffs with Mahomes the average margin of victory is 13 points. The only game that was under 11 points victory was the Browns game which was well on its way to being a blowout if not for Mahomes going out.

The idea that we play down to opponents or come out flat against underdogs has some merit in the regular season, but it is absolutely not true in the postseason.

Only time we've ever actually came out flat in the postseason was against Houston. All 3 units shat all over themselves for a quarter.

I have been activated from the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

I will start Sunday's playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Section 119.

I’m not worried about Pittsburgh. I am worried that zebras will be motivated to get Big Ben through for another round of his farewell tour. Still don’t think that will be nearly enough for Pitt to get the job done. But I expect this to be a very badly officiated game favoring the Steelers.
