Some dick threw a rock at my car last night

I was on my way to the gym, just before the stoplight at Holmes and Blue Ridge. There's a little wooded area that borders Holmes there.

I heard a loud CRACK and thought someone had fired a gun. Scared the shit out of me. Looked over and there was a scuff on my passenger side window.

Got out of the car and there was a big dent where the rock hit the edge of the window and the car door. Could have been MUCH worse.

Didn't think much of it until tonight when I see people posting on Nextdoor about the same thing in the same area.

On Monday April 11th around 8:20 am around the Red Bridge and Blue River Road areas, a large rock went through my windshield, clipped my shoulder, and busted out my back glass.

It seemed odd, so I decided to report it. At the police station I met another couple reporting a rock thrown at their car at the same location around the same time this morning. Luckily they were not injured but it left a large dent in their vehicle.

As you can see from the pics, I am incredibly lucky it missed my head. I am however on the hook for $700 in glass repairs. If you takeRed Bridge please use extreme caution, and take another route if possible. Be safe everyone.

That is up the road and a bit to the east of where I was. And here's a post in the same thread, same area I got hit.

Something has hit my truck going east on Blue Ridge just past Holmes. It happened just as I was driving under the railroad tracks at that intersection.

Whatever it was put a big dent on the hood and then the second incident something hit the sunroof. Whatever it was on both incidents, it was heavy.

My husband and I are pretty sure it was someone on the railroad tracks tossing things onto cars. Glad you’re ok!!! I would be in complete shock too.

So clearly someone, or some group of people is launching rocks at cars in this area. I've filed a report with the police.
