3rd and short yardage is still a problem. I still think taking a flyer on a backup QB who could be used as a gadget player would be a great addition to the roster. Henne is not getting any younger.
It’s crazy how this team has issues with 3rd and one. |

I don't think Reid will pull Mahomes on 3rd and anything in order to run a gadget play.
I'd like to see them invest in a backup that gives you some confidence. I really like these guys (my round ratings): QB Clayton Tune, Houston (6'3" 220) - 4th QB Max Duggan, TCU (6'2" 210) - 4th QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson, UCLA (6'1" 205) - 5th QB Tim DeMorat, Fordham (6'4" 220) - 6th |

There are teams in this league that don't have the confidence in their STARTER that this team has in Chad Henne.
It's a backup - he ain't gonna be a guy who steps right in for the best to ever do it. If Henne wants to come back, we're fine at QB2.

There are some good-looking QB prospects in this draft that maybe aren't immediate starter types but they can be quality backup and developmental guys. Investing there isn't a bad thing, especially if they can become a really good backup. Teams will trade for those guys. |

I'm wondering if:
- We are feeling good enough about Buechele to take over for Henne (who becomes an Offensive assistant coach) - Veach goes back to the school for wayward boys and picks up a high-upside / low-risk reconstruction project
