Their entire board thinks Allen is better than Mahomes because he is taller and weighs more. So they should probably shut up about football knowledge. Let's not forget that every Bills troll proclaimed the Bills offense better than the Chiefs last year because POINTS PER GAME. When we explained that a lot of that was Buffalo running up the score on teams that quit they didn't want to hear it. When we also explained that we were the defending Super Bowl Champions and were quite fine with winning by 3 or 7. In regular season games last year we built up a big lead and then took our foot off the gas and ran out the clock. I do give Buffalo credit for being built to perform in the regular season. They have lots of hungry veterans on their last legs that run through the wall every game. Chiefs are more built on stars that take over a game. Playoffs it's about the stars showing up. KC wins handily...again. |

PFFFF OH THE ARROGANCE OF THESE CHIEFS FANS HOW DARE THEY!!!"

Then again it's Andy so it's entirely possible that they'll try something like that again but I don't see it. I'm more worried about tipped passes becoming INTs, but those seem to have been greatly improved since the losing streak |

If it was a Brady led Pats, that would be one thing. It wasn't but experts still think the Pats are the same as the Brady led ones. The Pats are far more name than legit threat at this point. |

But damn, there are some huge peaks and valleys though. Would be interesting to have Mahomes in comparison, and other QBs. Guessing Carr's looks like a congestive heart failure ECG.

Lot's of good points being raised in this discussion, but for me, it boils down to this:
In the first game, the Bills played exceptionally well, and the Chiefs, not so much. Sure, part of that was the Bills creating their own opportunities and limiting the Chiefs (such as the Rousseau interception....that was just a lights out spectacular play), but the Chiefs shot themselves in the foot time and time again (the pick 6 off Reeks hand, the Reek dropped pass on third down, the fumble on the KO return [that didn't result in points]), the botched snap, Daniel Sorensen in coverage not once but twice!, and a bunch of other things I probably forgot about at this point.... I can't imagine a scenario where the Bills can replicate that same performance while the Chiefs simultaneously shoot themselves in the foot time and again. It was an obvious Bills "A" game effort, but the Chiefs had to be "C" or worse.....The Chiefs did actually move the ball well through the game, and other than the Turnovers, could have made this a much tighter game than the final indicated.... To me, the Bills cannot, and will not play any better than that game, and in fact, will probably be worse than that. Josh Allen won't play any better than that, their D won't play better than that......We've seen the best punch they can give.....All of their chips are out on the table.....and we've had a whole season to design our attack against their attack, and we all know Andy has a full arsenal of plays in hand that the Bills haven't seen, with the Bills missing arguably their most importance piece on D, and us gaining Jones, Ingram, and Ward back (and Dirty Dan not manning deep zones to boot!) And we have a team that we know (and has proven) to respond in the most pressure cooker of situations.... I agree with the folks here saying this game isn't going to be close: Either the playoff Chiefs show up and smoke these fools, or the Bills are so motivated and so good that they will dispatch the Chiefs. I'm not going to bet against playoff Patrick Mahomes.....he is going to take all this "Josh Allen is the best" and use that to piss pound the Bills into oblivion....how do I know this? Because Patrick Mahomes has the "Michael Jordan" gene....he doesn't just want to beat you, he wants to rip your heart out and feed it to you while your family watches in horror..... Obviously, I could be wrong, and time will tell, but time and time again, when healthy, this team steps up when needed and has a ton of heart. I don't think they go away lightly at all.... For me this game boils down to two things:
1. Are the Chiefs REALLY over their early season turnover disease? It reared its ugly head again last week. They can't do that against Buffalo, because they'll punish you for it and now you can find yourself down early which would give their defense the ability to play this game exactly how they want to, and force us to be less patient. We cannot have turnovers and drops that allow Buffalo to get up early. 2. This new found Buffalo run game. Is it real or not? Can they do enough damage with it to force the Chiefs into some packages the Bills can take advantage against?

I read that Allen had 3 chances to close a tight game this year and didn't...that's the most important statistic in a road Playoff game.
If Allen gets behind in this game...with the pressure and crowd noise? He hasn't shown he is capable of pulling it out...he plays well with a lead. They lost 9-6 to the Jags and 41-15 to Indy. Chiefs defense is entirely different...that was Clark's first game back from injury, Bolton's 5th NFL start, no Gay, no Ward, No C Jones,...no Ingram. That's not the same team...and an advantage from the first meeting as Spags will be orchestrating the game differently. What will have schematically changed for the Bills..that would be considered an advantage? Bills best defensive player is out... The KC O-line was 100% new with 2 rookies...and only played 4 games together....they've played 14 since. There were a lot of uncharacteristic, fluky plays, turnovers and blown defensive coverages. Sorenson, single-handedly, wrecked that game...and it would have been closer had he been benched earlier. Bills would beat the Steelers/Jags 9 out of 10 times...this was just one of those for the Chiefs. It really wasn't anything the Bills did...the majority was self-inflicted. Mahomes is one of those rare players that will process a loss as a personal insult...and Reid has never lost a post-season game against a team he lost to in the regular season. Chiefs have an extra incentive/motivation as they lost the previous match-up...I think Reid pulls out all the offensive stops in this one. Bills season ends on Sunday... |

You gotta track Sorensen in that game, too. He's horrific on almost every snap, not just the two big gains.
That Week 5 game is not the Chiefs team we have now. |
