Dak is getting paid

Haven’t seen details yet. Just that they’ve agreed on a contract.

I thought he was a good sign as a backup.

A 60% guy.

Dak is an 80% guy to me.

Mahomes, Brees, Rodgers, Brady are 100%

Rivers 85-90% along with Ben Raper and Matt Ryan 75-80%

IMO - he wasn't worth SHIT! When he had the BEST OLINE in football he could not get it done. He may make the playoffs now but will be one and done! Just my .02. This is a typical Jerry Jones move that will cost him for no return on investment! Too many "A" list QBs that will make him look like the fool that he is - Mahomes, Hebert, Rodgers, Wilson, Watson yadda, yadda.

Andy is more of a 40%'er.

He had a borderline HoF type of talent in AJ Green and some other decent weapons for years and an ok Defense and never got them past the WildCard round.

The Bengals ****ed up sticking with him for so long IMO

Dak is an illusion. He puts up big numbers and makes incredible throws against inferior competition. He's better than anything that they've had in quite some time for sure, but the "he's Alex Smith with a bigger arm" statements are pretty damned accurate. IMHO, of course

Was just making a joke. I think Dak is incredibly overrated. But I get the contract idea. A short-term contract is a great way to keep the window open while you have talent, but gives you an exit in a few years. You probably won't do much better than Dak in the next year or 2. But they should try like hell to draft lots of QBs they hope can still Dak's job at the end of the contract. I frankly don't understand why more teams don't do this.

Dak wins Jeruh loses good for Dak. Now the pressure is on Dak to step it up in Dallas to go from fair to midland to SB contenders. Fans of America's team will get brutal if they continue to suck down the stretch or Dak remains fragile. Dak got the money he wanted time for him to prove his worth.

They physically sacrifice themselves more than QBs do, yet QBs earn all the money.

I understand that QBs mean wins and losses far more than RBs, but I wish the NFL would have put in minimum guarantee bonuses on a usage basis for some of these positions.
Good post. Not sure what the answer is. Other than Aryan Foster several years ago, no players are complaining about it. And nobody is saying **** it I’m out. But I hear you. Some interesting discussion for the NFLPA.

I still will never understand why teams by now don't aggressively look for young qbs when they're unsure if they want to pay them when they're due.

Dak, Wentz, trubisky, Dalton, probably baker mayfield. What, did Dallas really think they had a qbotf in Ben dinucci? Gotta admire the Seahawks for how they got to Russell Wilson.
