They are in purgatory. Once they are (if they are) reinstated by the NFL, the team that had their rights has 30 days to determine cut or keep. If they cut, then the player goes in to the supplemental draft and the other 31 teams can blind bid away a draft pick to see who gets to sign the guy.

Or you could just indefinitely suspend while we monitor his progress in programs that will help him be a better person and parent. Then either pick an NFC team to trade him to or let him play after he’s “better.”

There is actual audio. More than can be said for zeke and big Ben (and I think Adrian Peterson) . And while big Ben had some history neither of the two were skating on nearly the same kind of thin ice. Maybe not for a crime. But with the NFL... He's dead meat for a while.
