The two best things this community ever has done was the 37 Forever Foundation and the Save Our Chiefs movement.

Both endeavors yielded tremendous results.

Really happy this memorial was done, especially on the 37th Anniversary of the tragedy (as well as the Park in his hometown Haughton which bears his name.)

All of us involved with the 37 Forever Foundation really should take immense pride with all which was accomplished when it existed and seeing his legacy keep shining like it should be.

Someday when this damn virus is over, we all need to head over there and pay much deserved respects to this amazing hero....

Just learned something really incredible

There IS a future NFL Star from the Delaney family who likely enters the NFL Draft as early as this upcoming year. It would be just too good to be true to draft a Delaney family member exactly 40 years after #37 made his Chiefs debut.

I have been thinking about it for a while now. With covid-19 obviously we couldn't start lessons again right away, or wed have to start really small but we could plan it out. There's a whole new generation of fans that have never heard of Joe Delaney and don't understand how hard it is when you have 5 pools for 15,000-30,000 kids and no swimming in the public school curriculum. Everyone deserves to learn how to swim.

Can't play contact or semi contact sports your whole life, eventually most people can't run anymore and walking is tough on your joints and you can't do it when you're hot.
