Anyway...it might have been a better situation as it would have allowed them to see what they have in Speaks/K-pass....without giving up picks and a mammoth contract.

Didn't Houston rate out higher than Clark last season?

The Chiefs don't owe him that, it's the dead money on the deal. They aren't paying it out anymore.

Regardless...he would have made $21 million this year. He is still costing $7 million. He freed up $14 million...which the Chiefs might use on a $19 million per player that cost them picks.

That's a loss of $5 million and picks...is Clark that much better?

So Veach's first two years as a GM, he wouldn't have a first round pick in the draft? NO WAY. I do NOT see that happening.

If he can pull this off with a second rounder, do it.
