Roster Updates (Watts and LDT to IR, Zombo signed)
The Chiefs announced a couple of significant roster moves Tuesday afternoon, placing starting guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif as well as reserve safety Armani Watts on injured reserve while signing veteran free agent outside linebacker Frank Zombo to the 53-man roster. The team also announced the movement of undrafted rookie linebacker Rob McCray to a designation of Practice Squad/Injured.

The move of Duvernay-Tardif to injured reserve doesn't come as a big surprise after he suffered a fractured fibula in Sunday's 30-14 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, but placing Watts on injured reserve was unexpected and another unneeded blow to a safety position already decimated by injury. Watts, who was a fourth-round pick of the Chiefs in the 2018 NFL Draft, left Sunday's win over the Jaguars with a groin injury. Both players will be eligible to return off of injured reserve in eight weeks, although the Chiefs are only allowed by league rules to bring two players per season off injured reserve, and one of them could be safety Daniel Sorensen, who has been out since the preseason following knee surgery.

Then they should have done that back in January and get this shit over and done with.

That, or if Berry isn't completely selfish and unreasonable he agrees to a massive pay cut. He won't do that, so personally I think you can infer a few things about Berry. After having cancer I don't blame him for putting his own interests first, but that isn't the team's problem. They stuck by him when they didn't need to and the return has been almost nothing. It's time to move on.

Not sure what you guys want from Veach, but if I’m the GM I’m getting what I can out of Berry.

Don’t care if your heel hurts. Get cordizone shots and start getting play time in December to get in game shape for the playoffs. If your other Achilles gives out, all the more reason to move on.

Get what you can out of the guy this year and tell him to restructure or get his pink slip.

As already mentioned, a restructure doesn't help. It just moves the cap hit to a later year.

But I'm fine with getting what we can out of Berry. Give him cortisone shots like you mentioned and ride him into the ground and then cut him after the season. I just think the time for him to play is now. If he gets injured then so be it, waiting another month does nothing.

This isn't a Veach problem, so not sure why you even brought his name into it. Nevertheless, he had a trade for Earl Thomas lined up and Seattle ****ed it all up with their dumb****ery.
