Week 8: Let’s Talk About The Packers

They are at home vs the Raiders Sunday so a good time to scout them before they come to Arrowhead on the 27th.

I think Andy is going to turn Matty Moore into Jeff Garcia and we're going to run the ball, and screen, and slant, and draw them to death. And just when they're cramming the line of scrimmage, play-action bombs to Hill.

I think we win this game. 23-17 and it's not that close; GB scores a junk TD at the end to make it look tight.
I like the way you think. I just wish I had confidence.

I mean.....

Maybe not Elite but There is a LOT of people on here that think we are better than we are on D. Honestly, before Thursday everyone on here was freaking out that this team was not a SB team because of the Defense. Now we have people saying the Defense is gonna hold it down for Pat based off one game vs a Shit hole team LOL.

Come on, take away beating up on one of the worst teams in the NFL and everyone is melting the **** down right now.

Hey I'm hopeful but I'm still thinking this team is 1-2 if Pats out three games and I could easily see is being 0-3. Kiss the playoff bye goodbye at that point.

I hope I'm wrong and we will see Sunday night how they handle it but I'm not changing my expectations of our defense based on a good game against a terribad offense and one of the worst teams in the league.

One evening an old man told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.

He said, "My son, the battle is between two "wolves" inside us all.

One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather:

"Which wolf wins?"

The old Man simply replied,

"The one you feed."

Are the Broncos a bad team? Yes. Is their rush game bad? No. Did we stop it very effectively? Yes.

The problem is the Packers are completely a different challenge. Their O line is much better in pass pro, and they are much more a passing offense. They passed to full backs and running backs a lot against the Raiders, and that will make Ragland look like the slow piece of shit we know he is if they go with that plan.

But, the Broncos pass defense is definitely better than the Packers, so maybe Moore can actually move the ball on them.

Basically, I'm saying who knows? Why not just bet the Packers on the moneyline and settle for either cash or a Chiefs win.

Basically, the reason I'm optimistic about the defense is this:

It's a whole new group; like 9 new starters at this point. New scheme, new front, new coaches, new everything.

It was going to take awhile to get it together.

Frank Clark went from beast to JAG...why? Didn't make sense.

I don't think they're going to be dominant in every game going forward, but I expect they'll look more like the guys that kicked the crap out of Denver than the ones that were doing a doormat impression.

There's too much talent there to be that bad.

Andy and Spags were saying each week that they were close, that it was just little things, and that they were going to show soon. I just think they did.

Denver got exposed, for sure. But don't forget they'd won two straight, and were a good rushing team. Before the game, we all thought we were going to get killed. So since we whooped them instead, it doesn't count?

Why does the Patriots' defense get to count all their ass whippings and we don't? They've been playing the equivalent of Denver every week.

I think we'll see a pretty good defense going forward. I think they bought into the system, and understand that if they each do their job, they'll be fine.

We have to run the ball well and Moore needs to play smart.
I don't know why you're so scared of this Rogers guy. I'm not even sure who Rogers is. Now Rodgers, on the other hand, he's a hell of a quarterback. I can see the anxiety when it comes to him.

Lol nice I liked it.

Look I hope I'm wrong I really do. I hope the D figured something out and I think Mahomes is back after this week and all will be well.

Your right, and it does count they had an excellent game and yea they could have made Denver look better than they were and I think that's why there is a lot of optimism with the defense now.

I think that's ok but have to temper the expectation just like I don't think the Pats D will look as good vs The Ravens or us or really any team that doesn't have like 1 win...

Injuries suck

Injuries to your best players suck bad

Injuries to your mvp qb make you wanna burn your house down .

****. The whole “chiefs need to be patient, get healthy for the playoffs “ stuff is fine, I get it.

But it’s just really hard to win 3 straight 2 on the road in January. I’d prefer not to have to do that but oh well
