Steve Bono breaks silence in new interview

I've never heard from Steve since he left here in 1996 and he's getting into everything from KC restaurants to playoff losses, his relationship with Marty, the fans of Kansas City and much more!

That said, he didn’t do himself any favors with the town.

We would have gotten to the AFCCG with him (at the very least) had Hackett not gone all derp against the Colts
He was an excellent deep ball thrower and bootleg specialist. It was all the other stuff he was pretty average with.

Too bad our receiving corps was absolute garbage when he was our QB. After JJ Birden and Willie Davis left, there was Lake "My knee hurts" Dawson, Chris "Invisible" Penn, Danan "Special Teams" Hughes, Webster "Over the Hill" Slaughter, Sean "Great White Hype" LaChappelle and Tamarick "Got them keys" Vanover. In 1996, he had Joe Horn on the roster...but never threw at him, probably because Schotty didn't play the rookie much.

The 3 game skid to end 1996 was particularly brutal. All we needed was one game to make the playoffs. And Bono threw for like 50% and 2 INTS at Buffalo. It was horrific.

SB's QB keeper for a 70+ TD vs. the Cardinals is one of the greatest plays in CHIEFS history! Marcus Allen fooled the entire Arizona defense as SB jogged into the end zone.

Who made the most money of these three in their NFL careers?

That was actually a really good interview. Not sure I agree that he debunked the restaurant comment. Just saying you didn't say it really doesn't debunk it. Say what you said and what you meant. Either way, it was a very overblown, and pointless thing for fans to be mad about.

Loved how the play against Arizona was explained. I had never heard the story of how the play came to be.
