You want to see someone struggling through progressions, go watch the 14 year vet who was here for 5 years prior to Mahomes.
He hasn't watched a single Chiefs game lol

Guys, despite overwhelming video evidence to the contrary (not even gonna bring up stats because they are only used by fans of the lesser 31), I have determined that Patrick Mahomes is horrible in the pocket and needs to work on his progressions.

Also, I'm pretty sure he gave AIDS to Magic Johnson.

Yours truly,
Dynamicshttr

The amount of trolls in a single thread is unprecedented.

His first read is literally wide open in 2 of those gifs, and in the other, he only has to go to his second read (who is also wide open, by the way.)

Andy Reid's offense is clearly designed to make things simple for Mahomes. It's why you see most of his passes from the pocket being completed within 2 seconds. When his first or second reads aren't open, you'll see him use his legs to extend plays nearly every single time.

Cower in fear, Patriot Gay. These are multiple read plays with Mahomes shifting to second, third and even fourth targets.

Literally everything you wrote here is wrong. Everything. I'll leave it to Hammock to find the gifs. But it's apparent that the extent to which you've watched Mahomes this season is limited to the gifs in this thread.

Also love how you imply that Mahomes sucks because he threw the ball to wide open receivers. Classic stuff right there.

Why don't we just ask Andy Reid what he thinks about it...

Quote:
Reid routinely uses a trust test with his quarterbacks, asking them after certain plays during practice or games what he saw from the defensive coverage. Reid said Mahomes almost always breaks down the coverage exactly the way it unfolded.

"Not every quarterback can spit that out to you," Reid said. "The thing about Pat is he's blessed with this great vision. He sees everything out there."

Because he's so confident Mahomes is aware of everything the defense is doing from the start of a play to the finish, Reid is comfortable in not placing many restrictions on him in terms of the types of throws he can make. As Reid put it, "You let him put his personality on it."
