OK Geeks, Looking for a new PC, what to select?
Windows 10 ( of which I literally hate the userface )

Windows 8 ( know nothing about them )

Windows 7 ( I have now but that would be shooting my self in the foot, 2,maybe 3 years of updates left at best )

What other options are there in Windows.


I want one that will not run out of memory nor ram. The ram is not an issue, external rams are handy and cheap enough, I want speed!

Talk to me , whatcha got for me, sell me a pc you salesman!

everything is starting to move to windows 10 now. Like it or not, MS is making the move.

If you are going with Windows then I don't understand why anyone would not get 10. I think 2020 is the last year anything under 10 will get security updates.

Windows 10, AFAIK, is the last Windows. Instead of releasing versions they are just going to update 10.

Who knows how long this plan remains.

Been using Windows since 3.1. Newer versions of Windows always hated on, some justifiably, some not. Part of it is, some people just don't like change. Eventually you'll have to upgrade to stay current with patches and be able to use newer software. Go with 10

Windows 7 is already past the point of normal updates. You'll only get dire security updates at this point. But I wouldn't put too much faith in that keeping the OS truly secure. Upgrade to Windows 10 already. It's a great OS, and performance-wise, if your machine runs Win7, it will run Win10 just as good if not better.

Do 10. It's not Terrible once you get used to it.

Just make sure your new computer has a solid state hard drive. It is the biggest upgrade in functional speed as there has been in awhile.
