Browns fan here... made my way through the forum... Can't find the sale on air fryers, took notes on "Clever Ways To Salvage Ruined Brownies" (thanks in advance!), drank a half gallon of antifreeze and walked barefoot through the AIDS infested fires as suggested. Hope I'm worthy of a post or two.

First, I hate you. The biggest reason I hate you is because I wanted to draft Mahommes -- and scratched my head while all the bozo-beat-writers around the league kept saying he was "too raw" and "a project".

I guess more accurate term is "hated", I've come to terms now that the Brownies finally managed to navigate this decade's-old rift in the space-time continuum and draft a franchise QB. I'll roll with Baker. That said, I have some family in KC and joined them last winter in your beautiful city... just long enough to appreciate and admire your love for your Chiefs. Congrats to all you die-hard fans, I hope the journey to "champions", and returning to the top of the league (with possible dynasty on the horizon) was worth the wait. Savor it, waiting is hard, no one knows better than a Browns fan.

Sunday was one of my happiest days as a Browns fan. It's not just because we won a playoff game. We've changed a culture, we've overcome incredible odds, we've finally found our franchise QB... and we finally exercise a demon that has haunted us for decades. Top-notch talent from the top of the organization, down. Future so bright, regardless of what happens this Sunday afternoon.

I sat in the stands, ass frozen to the seat, in the '86 double overtime victory over the Jets... only to experience "the drive" eight days later. I was at the last playoff win over the Patriots in early '95... six days later we lost to the Steelers. The future was bright though -- Belichick and Saban on the sideline? C'mon man. THEN a pissy Art Model, jealous of our new baseball stadium, becomes a thief in the night. WE fought to keep our team, but since the return, nothing but heart-ache. BBS (Battered Browns Syndrome) is REAL.

Just wanted to check in and wish you chumps luck on Sunday. Don't expect that you'll need it, your team is on a different level. I'll cling to any hope and keep my vision clouded with the idea of "Any Given Sunday". More than this -- I look forward to some epic battles over the next few years. Nice to get our feet wet this year and feel like we "belong". Hope my Brownies are blessed with enough good fortune to keep the line rising up the graph so that we can compete on the same level. Couldn't pick two cities and fan-bases that are more deserving!
We felt like you when we beat the Colts at home in the playoffs 2 years ago... You feel like the monkey is off your back... I've been looking for the most visited Browns Board? You seem to have a ton out there. Any suggestion?

Hard to say because with Josh Allen, and Mahomes in the AFC for the next 10-15 years, its going to be really hard for anyone outside of Buffalo, or KC to realistically win the super bowl. Those two qbs are that good. But Baker is much better than people give him credit for.
Ive given him way more credit than others would. He is a game manager. A more aggressive, but also more mistake prone version of Alex smith. What I've seen Stefanski do brilliantly is work around the limitations of his QB. Lots of misdirection, bootlegs, scripted plays. It also helps that defenses are loading the box. But he's still reckless... Not as much with INTs anymore but taking some really stupid sacks. He's not going to be great at progressions. He takes more of an Alex Smith first read or bust approach. Sometimes he uses athleticism to buy time on a scramble drill. Others he holds the ball for an eternity and takes an unnecessary sack.

I think baker is worth extending for the same reason Alex Smith was good for us early even if I never wanted him long term. But with what CLE is building that should definitely not stop them from aggressively doing better just like kc did.

At first, i was like this, but when i came to the realization that outside of OBJ, there is not a single player on the Browns who can stretch the defense i flipped back to giving it one more year with Baker being completely comfortable in Stefanski's Scheme. Plus, getting rid of him puts a huge hit on the salary cap, where as keeping him one more year makes more financial sense.

The Baker i see you describing is the Baker we saw the first half of the season, and the Baker i have watched grow, and really show out against the Titans, Ravens, and then against the steelers where he was getting rid of the ball in an absurd 2.11 seconds is not like the guy described at all. Clearly you know my feelings for Alex, but Baker will attempt throws Alex could never dream of. I think the sky is the absolute limit for Baker. They showed several plays in the pitts game where baker was getting to his 3rd and fourth read. FIrst few games of the season it was first read or death.

Draft someone, bring in a free agent, whatever... your offense looked better the day he went out

That said I wasn't aware of the cap implications, so go ahead and find out if he's a fit in 2021... but I wouldn't hold my breath

Yeah, unless something has changed during the bye, my guess is that this game, like the other Chiefs games, will be close (7 or less).

I'm hoping for a good game. Thanks for Dorsey. I thought he was an excellent GM, who made a career mistake by endorsing Freddie Kitchens. He really played a major role in turning our team around. Yeah, the manner in which we treat you has somehow less than no impact on the game.

I laughed. Well done.

I, and I anticipate most other fans on the board wouldn't be horrifically shocked by a Chiefs L. I mean Mahomes is the cursebreaker and all, but he can't do everything. And besides that, you can't completely wash away the beatings that we took. A whipped dog will always be a whipped dog.

That brother****ing Cheatriot team that beat us in 2018 AFCCG (which I was at BTW ) was really bad. And FFS the Faid beat us.

Odds are we win, but dumber shit has happened. And more specifically, dumber shit has happened to us. And the confidence we show today, isn't blind, dumb, entitled arrogance, like a lot of brother****ing Cheatriot fans.

Hmmm, can't seem to quote both messages.

He's mostly right when speaking of Baker's body of work, but you're dead on with the progression over the season. We watched Baker run around "willy-nilly" in the pocket early on. Any sign of pressure and his processor was locked up. He's improved by leaps and bounds over the course of the season. Mistakes are way down, winning plays way up. Getting much better at going through progressions with the necessary pace. More than this, he's taken his mind off always looking for the big play (a huge problem early on) and will settle for positive yardage -- without missing many big plays. Baker has a plus arm and can make all the throws, his progress with all the other nuances and requirements of being a top-tier QB have been impressive. Still a work in progress, but Coach Ski has put him in a great system to reap the rewards of hard work. JMHO.

Mayfield looks like a completely different QB under Stefanski. His poise and decision making in the pocket are vastly improved. I think he's got a tremendous supporting cast around him on both O & D. The next step for him is to show consistency.

The separation didn't work.

The entire space between the two icons actually leads to a thumbs down.
