****2018-2019 Official NBA Regular season thread****

Didn't see anybody starting this thread so I guess I will.

Anti climatic season starts tonight and my prediction is GS vs Boston in the NBA Finals.

First 2 Games tonight on TNT with Philly vs Boston and OKC vs GS. Westbrook is out tonight so that game will be a blowout most likely.

Embiid playing like he's facing Stanford.

Embiid missed that game with an injury. Wiggins was horrendous though.

Incredible shot. Not sure how that rolled in. Kawhi vs Giannis should be good.

Toronto won that game on the defensive end down the stretch. I can’t remember seeing so many shot clock violations in the last few minutes of a close game 7.

Not sure how much you can hang this on embiid. Maybe part of the process next year should be finding the sixers a halfway decent backup center. That is an insane amount of minutes for a guy like him. But what choice did Brett brown have? The team was disgustingly bad without him on the floor.

He's 7'2", played the entire game with his face to the basket, and shot 6-18. He was awful.

He's also 7'2" and played 45 out of 48 minutes. Even knowing he can't handle those kind of minutes. But what choice did Brett Brown have? The team was a total disaster when he wasn't on the court. I mean, that was Cavs playoffs with Lebron on the bench bad. Maybe he played somewhat passive early to save his energy. I don't know. But for damn sure he was totally gassed by the end.

So that might have been the best ending to a sport event I've ever attended. Maybe one of the dramatic shots in NBA history considering what was at stake. Kawhi didn't have the best game overall but he's certainly not afraid of the moment. The rest of those guys will have to play much better against the Bucks to win it.

Embiid was owned by Gasol offensively the entire series (Gasol is one of the few who can shut him down, he's a former DPOY and still an elite defender). Embiid's defensive value is absolutely massive, though, to the point that the 76ers literally could not play without him at any point in the series. Even in the 3 minutes he missed tonight, I think Philly was like -11.
