I just made the best sandwich I've ever eaten.

Toasted 7 grain bread
French's Wasabi Mayo
2 fried eggs
cheddar slices
4 slices of warmed ham
2 half inch thick home grown tomato slices

Delicious. Please share your favorite sandwich concoctions with everybody here.

My favorite sandwich is the Monte Cristo, bar none.

It is followed closely by a BLT with good tomatoes.

BTW, Phil, if you ever get back to Ft. Collins, you've got to try out Fiona's Euroepan Delicatessan. I wish their menu was online, but their website is under construction. Some of the most inventive and interesting sandwiches I've ever seen.

This review has some good quotes:
Quote:
So what makes a deli such as Fiona’s so great that it would induce such worry and panic from customers? How about the fresh ingredients used in each and every sandwich, soup, salad, loaf of bread and dessert? Bread baked fresh daily, in the bakery, for your sandwich or to take home? Colorado-grown produce including crisp lettuce, juicy ripe tomatoes, thinly sliced onions, fresh peppers and baby spinach leaves? Fresh cheese and meat from local suppliers and exotic locales from around the globe? Condiments from sweet and spicy mustard to red pepper mayonnaise?

If the fresh ingredients don’t turn your head, maybe the extensive sandwich menu will. Each item is named after an employee, friend, family member or loyal customer of Fiona’s, and with more than 40 varieties of poultry, veggie, fish and other meats, there is bound to be a new favorite on the board.

Fiona’s serves everything from the traditional Reuben sandwich to a regular turkey and lettuce sandwich to a fancy grilled cheese with cheddar, Muenster, Swiss and mozzarella cheeses with sweet and spicy mustard on an English muffin. If you crave something more gilled, try the smoked salmon, creamy brie cheese, lettuce, tomato and basil pesto mayo on English muffin bread. Of if you crave an iron-rich sandwich, try Scott’s favorite sandwich — chopped liver, smoked applewood bacon, sautéed onions, American cheese and red pepper mayo on grilled sourdough.
